Based on your support of TransAct ending, it looks like I’ll need to subscribe to the Denali feed, and I need Package 11 @ $46 per month.

1) How do I subscribe to it? I see the package option but don't see a button to click on to actually subscribe to that package.
2) Do I somehow pay in advance or will it be adjusted to the existing auto withdraw amount the next time you withdraw from my bank account?
3) When does this need to be done?

Thx,

1. To change your package follow these instructions:
To change your Sierra Chart Service Package, select "Help >> Account Control Panel" on the Sierra Chart program menu. On the displayed webpage, click on the "Set Service Package for Renewal" link.

Or go to this page:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ServicesActivation

You will need to login if you are not currently logged in.

In the "Available Services >> Choose Usage Time Service Package" frame, select the Service Package that you want to set your account to. Press the "Set" button.

The remaining service usage time on your account will be adjusted based upon the cost of the package you are changing to. If the new package is a higher-priced package, then the usage time will be reduced due to the higher price.

There is no charge for changing your Sierra Chart service package. Only your Sierra Chart account usage time ending date is adjusted.

When changing between Sierra Chart Service Packages, the usage time ending date on your Sierra Chart account is adjusted based upon the price differences between the package you are changing from and the package you are changing to.

When changing to a higher priced package, your usage time ending date will be brought back closer in time. When changing to a lower-priced package, your usage time ending date will be brought forward further out in time.

2. As noted above, you do not need to pay anything when you change your package, only the end-date changes.

3. You should not only change your data, but your broker as well if you want to continue to use Sierra Chart. We have stopped support for TransAct trading with version 2355. So you can not upgrade to any version higher than 2354. Therefore, you should be making these changes now.

If I stay below the last supported version with TransAct(2354) can I continue with them until I need to upgrade to a higher version greater than 2354? Or are you severing ties with them altogether?

As long as you stay on that version you can connect to TransAct. But, there are a couple of issues that can come up at any time and without warning:
1) We require an update to a more recent version due to changes in our systems.
2) TransAct makes a change that would require us to change our code, which we will not do.

Therefore, we recommend moving to a different broker sooner than later.

Yes absolutely:
Or are you severing ties with them altogether?

Do not wait. The deadline is September 1. Refer to:

I am aware that you will no longer support the TransAct feed? as
of SEP 1st, I believe. But, I can
continue with them for order entry if I move up to Dinali, Service Pkg 11 which I did a few days ago. Your chart feed and the Ladder/Dome for TransAct were in sync just fine.

I am currently running Sierra version 2276 and decided to upgrade to the current version. But when I did the Charts and the TransAct Ladder/Dome were way out of
Sync by as much as 50-60 ticks. So, I reloaded the software version 2276 and everything was in sync.

What would cause that? I certainly cannot trade with that gap between the two so I’m staying on version 2276.

The reason for the data issue when you updated is that you are not actually getting data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed at this time. Therefore, when you updated, you were getting the Delayed Streaming Data from us.

You have not gone through all of the setup steps necessary to get data from our Denali feed. You will find the Setup Instructions at the following link - be sure to follow through all of the steps:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges*

As to being able to continue with Sierra Chart and TransAct, we really can not guarantee anything after September 1, 2022.

Whoa, I was told that if I want to keep TeansAct and Infinity Futures for my order entry, then I needed to subscribe to Sierra’s Denali package Level 11.

Now you’re stating that after September 1st, that may not be guaranteed?

I’ve spent hours trying to figure this mess out with posts to your support board since you have no telephone support.

You are also saying that I didn’t correctly finish the subscription process so I still don’t have Denali.

Now I need some answers.

1) by completing the rest of the steps above for subscribing to Denali Level 11, will I have what I need to trade with Sierra AND use Infinity/TransAct for order entry? And I mean on a continuing basis. Because if not, I’m not leaving Infinity and I will have to switch over to Ninja which they support.

We are sorry, but we can only guarantee trading through TransAct through September 1, 2022. We do not know exactly what will occur on that day, but it is possible that we stop allowing connectivity to TransAct. Even if we do not at that time, as we have stated previously, anything could happen where things just stop working.

I think after talking to Infinity Futures, I’ve cleared up my confusion as to this separation from the TransAct feed. As I now understand it, you are no longer permitting TransAct to supply the feed to your Sierra Charts. In order to continue using Sierra, that is the reason I need to complete the subscription for Denali. Apparently, I didn’t quite complete it the other day and I will go back and finish it.

As for the Ladder/Dome feed for order entry, I will continue to use TransAct. I understand that I will thus have two logins, one for the Dinali Sierra Chart feed and a separate login with TransAct for the order entry Ladder/Dome.

I currently have two accounts:
TransAct_User_267584 and peckhaml. I’m not sure why. When I click HELP within Sierra Charts, it takes me to your message board showing the peckhaml account. But to get to this page using my iPhone, I have to use the TransAct_User_if267584 account.

With this separation from TransAct, will I get a new account? A new login button for my PC where I have my Sierra charts?

I just sent you a message to clarify my understanding of using Denali. I am assuming that is for the Sierra Chart feed which I was getting through TransAct.

You just sent me a message that after September 1st you cannot guarantee me that I will be able to trade through TransAct. What does that mean? I thought I sign up with Sierra Denali for the Sierra Charts feed only and that I can get my feed for the Ladder/Dome for placing orders from TransAct.

Since they are separate feeds, I’m not sure what you mean by “I may not be able to trade with TransAct”. I’d simply be placing orders through TransAct. I don’t plan on placing orders on the Sierra Charts.

The account you need to use with Sierra Chart is TransAct_User_if267584. This will not change and does not need to. It is just a name and although it used to mean a specific connection with TransAct, it does not any longer. Your other account is expired and does not have any time or funds in it.

If you are only going to use Sierra Chart for charting and not for trading, then that does change things somewhat. You can continue to do this, as long as you get the data for Sierra Chart from us through our Denali Exchange Data feed.

The one thing that does come up, however, is that if you are wanting data from the CME Group, then they have a requirement that you have a live, funded, futures trading account to which you can connect your Sierra Chart software at least once a month in order to verify your non-professional status for the exchange fees. Refer to the following for more information:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges

Since you may not be able to connect to TransAct to verify your account after September 1, 2022, you will have to have an account at another broker for this purpose. To this end, we recommend the following service:

TransAct and my Broker, Infinity Futures, are both owned by Ninja. And I’ll be paying exchange fees, including CME, through them. So, I’m not understanding why my Broker has to be able to show a connection to Sierra.

As we started this conversation, you can not get the data from TransAct into Sierra Chart unless you use an older version, and at some point that is going to end altogether. If you want to use Sierra Chart for charting only, then you will need to get your data for Sierra Chart from us.

And since we are talking about the CME Group data, which has a requirement of a live, funded, futures trading account, you would need to have an account with a broker to whom you can connect your Sierra Chart, which will not be TransAct soon.

Hello, yes thank you for clearing this up. I am running an older version (2276). I see the September 1st date on your support board as a likely discontinue date even for older versions. I realize that could move forward. But is that the official date as of now for total discontinuance from TransAct including older versions?

Yes, that is the official date for a total discontinuance from TransAct for Sierra Chart.

Thank you. Since I didn’t complete the Dinali signup correctly, I assume that I will still be billed at the $36 rate (Level 5 package) on roughly the middle of the month until I complete the Dinali signup. Is that correct?

No, that is not correct. You most recently were on Package 11. When you change your package your Usage Time End Date shifts in or out, depending on whether the cost of the new package is more or less than the old package.

We have changed you back to Package 5 and also enabled the option to evaluate Package 12 for 60 days. You need to be on package 10 or higher in order to connect with any external services (including TransAct) at this point. The evaluation of Package 12 gives you this ability.

So you are fine now for the next 60 days. After that, if you are going to continue to use Sierra Chart with TransAct, then you will need to change your package to Package 11 (equivalent of Package 5).

I just got a pop up message that my evaluation period for package 12 has one day left. I didn’t know what that meant. You’ve just explained that you put me on package 12 as a protective measure for 60 days I assume, which is fine, but I’m not sure why the pop up message says 1 more day. So please adjust that warning message.

Secondly, if you have it set for 60 days that would expire in early to middle of August and I’m assuming the September 1 cut off is still in effect as far as TransAct connection is concerned.

So, I’ll probably be going to package 11 once I figure how to address the Broker/CME proof of unprofessional issue.

Boy this is getting complicated.

Your account is setup to evaluate Package 12 through August 8, 2022. We do not know why you would have had a message stating otherwise.
