We have various reports of users primarily in Nevada who have connectivity issues to Rithmic and also to our Denali Data Feed.

We have contacted our Internet service provider about this. But it is also affecting Rithmic and this is totally unrelated to Sierra Chart.

Please do not post further on the Support Board about this. We will post more information here.

What we would like to see, and we will forward to our ISP, is a trace route.

Go to Windows Power shell and run this command:

tracert ds28.sierracharts.com

We need to see the output of it. Just post this information in the threads that have already been started related to this issue.

See the attachment from Rithmic about the issue.

Whether this is the cause of connectivity issues, for users in Nevada or California we do not know. Would seem unlikely.

Here is a solution to the connectivity issue some users are experiencing to the Denali Data Feed and our other Sierra Chart servers. We apologize for the delay.

Note: This will not solve connectivity issues to Rithmic! We are posting this in all of the threads, which we think are affected by the problem. However, if the problem is strictly with Rithmic, this is not going to help.

If you are having a problem accessing the Denali Data Feed or our other Sierra Chart data feeds do the following:

1. Update Sierra Chart to the current version (Important):
Software Download: Fast Update

2. Set this setting:
Sierra Chart Server Settings: CME Exchange Data Feed Server Address and Port Override (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> Special)

To:
ds13.sierracharts.com

3. Set this setting:
Sierra Chart Server Settings: CME Exchange Data Feed Historical Server Address Override (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> Special)

To:
ds13.sierracharts.com

4. Set this setting below the two above settings:
Standard Sierra Chart Server Address Override (non-exchange/no-fee data)

To:
ds13-2.sierracharts.com

----

We will bring online, historical CME data on that server, over the next 20 minutes but will be limited to the current day.

For Rithmic users, if you are unable to connect to Rithmic, follow these instructions below:

----

To access historical and streaming market data independent from your Trading service. Follow these instructions.

Set "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service" to "SC Data-All Services".

Press "OK"

And then translate the symbols in your Chartbooks and Sierra Chart using this "Edit' menu command:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service (Translate Symbols to Current Service)

You can then use the data provided by Sierra Chart independent of your trading service.

We have a solution for our Rithmic users for connectivity to Rithmic. At least we think so.

We want you to save the attached file to your Sierra Chart installation folder which is usually C:\SierraChart. And then restart Sierra Chart.

It looks as though the issue is associated with the ISP Hurricane Electric and Rithmic is using hurricane electric at least for some of their Internet connectivity. You can see this here:
https://www.iplocation.net/ip-lookup

Search for the IP 216.66.0.130 which is used for their web service to provide the connection points.

In all of our research regarding Internet connectivity, we would not use hurricane electric as a primary provider. They may be fine as a backup or as a secondary connection. We do not use them at all. But our ISP, in Michigan, does peer with hurricane electric as one of the carriers.

We are still waiting to get our Lumen connection in Michigan. This is going to give us an additional 10 Gb of connectivity. It will be installed in August.

For Rithmic customers who still cannot connect to Rithmic, we recommend the following solution to at least be able to receive real-time and historical data in Sierra Chart and not involve Rithmic:

----
To access historical and streaming market data independent from your Trading service. Follow these instructions.

Set "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service" to "SC Data-All Services".

Press "OK"

And then translate the symbols in your Chartbooks and Sierra Chart using this "Edit' menu command:
