Hi,

I've posted this question before,problem looked solved for a while,but have similar issue again.
I'm using 610 trades chart,upgraded to Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed yet,installed newest platform,deleted and downloaded all data - and my chart is still missing a lot of data.Bars are bigger and have less bars,ie have less data as others have on same chart.My chart differs a lot.

What is the symbol of the chart?

There was a setting problem which prevented the individual trades from being separated out on the new CME feed we are using. This will be solved at the end of the day.

We have corrected it for the ESM15 symbol for now. Re-download the data in the chart by right clicking before the beginning of the day and select Delete and Download Data.

Yeah,it's ESM15,sorted now...
Is there any way to get this info (or about any other chart/trade relating issues in time),I mean right when this kind of issue occurring?

No. Something like this is highly unusual and will not happen again. There was no way to know about this unless you brought it to our attention and we checked.

Every day about 10 times,mostly for only 5-10 seconds,then connecting again.
After reconnecting,as I can see,the chart (610 trades ESM5) looks slightly different,than it should,and after each "delete-and reload" have different picture,I mean different bars

We are not aware this should be happening 10 times a day. That would seem more like an Internet connection problem on your side.

Earlier today, we did disconnect users from one server because there was a packet loss problem on that server and we transferred them to the other server.

The reason you see bars based on a Number of Trades that look slightly different after a re-download of data is due to the packet loss problem which we are working on resolving. There is no reason why a chart would look any different after a reconnect to the data feed. That is not even possible. There must be a misinterpretation on your side.

If you re-download the data in the chart for the day by right clicking on the chart at the beginning of the day and select Delete and Download Data, correct data will be downloaded at this time.

Hi,I am still having the same problem every day a few times...
Platform disconnets for a few seconds,mostly for a bout 15-20 secs then works again.
Check all settings,have 3 different independent internet connections,but the problem still exists.
Do you have any idea,what is that all about?

OK there was a temporary problem at the time you posted the other Message Log with the authorization of market data for your account, but this is no longer occurring.

So in regards to the market data authorization, this is not an issue any longer but potentially you can still have these disconnects from the OEC server.

Not really sure how we can help with that. What broker do you trade through?

Even though there is a disconnection from the OEC server, the market data will still be received and then when there is a reconnection, the market data connection will be reconnected but this occurs within two seconds.

Hi,
I've used sierra chart before,trading with oec and was having a problem,which i thought was by oec.then switched for sierra chart exchange data feed to see if there is any difference.yes,it was.
Now trading demo with transact,going live this week,and having the very same problem again.
It might be data feed or something else.Maybe only chart setting issue...
The probem is: my chart's are running,no problem,fine and smooth. Then,if i close and open again, or just delete and download again, have slightly different charts infront of me...
All bars,colors,indicators are in different shape and place. So my chart is not the same anymore.
I'm trading e-mini sp,ESH6 on 610 tick chart,colored bars and few indicators and at the end of the day.whwn i look back to my enties and exit points to check them,i see completly different pictures,than i did before.I've attached 2 pics to show,what i mean.
Do you have any idea,what the problem is or can you take a look into my settings to solve this?

This is a commonly reported problem with TransAct.

Yes,understood.
I have had the very same problem with oec,and then the same with the sierra chart exchange data feed as well.
I have checked platform settings,computer settings and internet connection many times,started all over again from zero on different computers etc.everything seems to be alright.
However after every delete and download it looks different,a bit.
So is there a way to take a further look in it,please.

If you had this problem with the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed, it may have been at a time when the data feed was experiencing a significant amount of packet loss. That problem has been solved. At times there can be some minor packet loss which would be .005% and only at the most busy times of the day.

There is no need to post any charts, we would not look at those.

We checked TransAct data for the ES futures at this moment on 2016-01-11.

The current total daily volume calculated from Intraday data is: 1489662
For the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed it is reporting: 1664416

You can see the very large difference here. This is approximately 10.5% lower than SC data feed.

Charts based upon the number of trades per bar are hopeless with the data feed you are currently using at the present time.

The only choice is going to be to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and understand there can at times be very minor packet loss so there is not going to be 100% consistency, but nearly so.

You are going to be noticing a huge improvement over TransAct. Do you see a [M] indicator after the symbol at the top of the chart?

We also see you are running an older Sierra Chart version. Update to the current version by following the instructions here:

You must update to the version with "New Spreadsheets" to get the current version.

This is the packet loss we have at the moment on our servers for the CME for 2016-01-15:
5029   0.011%
2170   0.005%


It is the difference which is causing this problem but only to a very minor extent. We will see what can be done about this packet loss difference.

But if you are using the Numbers Bars study on a chart based upon a number of trades, then even a single missing trade will cause a difference . This is next to impossible to avoid the loss of some trades.

We have made the data for the CME consistent on both of our servers now, so if you re-download the data in the chart from any point in time today, you will notice that they will be the same.

However, make sure you are on the latest version of Sierra Chart because there have been some improvements related to the transition from historical to real-time data and it is critical you are on the latest version which you are not.

Letting you know on one of our servers we are seeing a small packet loss discrepancy compared to our other server and this is causing an inconsistency with data on the servers. You would see a slight inconsistency with volume when you re-download the data in the chart.

Regarding post #24, this is now solved. Any time you re-download the data in the Intraday chart when using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed for the CME symbols, you will get exactly the same amount of volume.

Will be doing an update this evening for the NYMEX, CBOT and COMEX.
