Hi Guys,
I recently purchased a trading course from Intuitive Trading Institute with 5 - Advanced - 97.2 USD/3 Months" included for free in the price. I have selected this option in the add usage credit and clicked the update and renew now button however it does not seem to be working or register on my sierra chart platform.

I have a message that states usage time has expired and Emergency Account Activation has failed and my Sierra chart platform advises me to contact you as shown in the screenshot included in this email.

I wonder if it would be possible for you to reset the trail period and guide me on to how I can credit the 3 months live data feed courtesy of the Intuitive Trading Institute on my account.

We do not know anything about Intuitive Trading Institute or what they are offering. The only thing we can think is that they are going to give you a reimbursement for the package and data. But we do not know, and you would need to ask them about this.

In the meantime, since it has been awhile since you have used Sierra Chart, we have reset and activated the trial for your account. But once the trial is over, you will need to get a paid package, and you can only get those directly from us.

We are not a brokerage. You would need to find a brokerage that you want to use and work with them to fund that account.

If you are only trading the CME Group, then we recommend using our Teton Order Routing Service. You will find the information on this service at the following link. There is a list of brokers in step #2 of the Setup Instructions on that page.

Also, you are currently on the "Base Advanced" package. In order to connect to a trading service, you need to be on one of the "Integrated" packages. Refer to the information here:

To change your package, follow these instructions:
To change your Sierra Chart Service Package, select "Help >> Account Control Panel" on the Sierra Chart program menu. On the displayed webpage, click on the "Set Service Package for Renewal" link.

You will need to login if you are not currently logged in.

In the "Available Services >> Choose Usage Time Service Package" frame, select the Service Package that you want to set your account to. Press the "Set" button.

The remaining service usage time on your account will be adjusted based upon the cost of the package you are changing to. If the new package is a higher-priced package, then the usage time will be reduced due to the higher price.

There is no charge for changing your Sierra Chart service package. Only your Sierra Chart account usage time ending date is adjusted.

When changing between Sierra Chart Service Packages, the usage time ending date on your Sierra Chart account is adjusted based upon the price differences between the package you are changing from and the package you are changing to.

When changing to a higher priced package, your usage time ending date will be brought back closer in time. When changing to a lower-priced package, your usage time ending date will be brought forward further out in time.

Hi Guys,
Sorry to be a pain and bother you again I greatly appreciate your help and assistance. I recently changed to an integrated service package as I plan to fund a live account using a sierra charts recommended broker. Unfortunately I have been given a message by sierra chart on my platform stating that the service package does not recognise my order flow analysis which is essentially a tool in my analysis file which I use to help trade the market. Is there anyway without changing to another integrated service package this can be restored.

We assume that the "order flow analysis" you are referring to is a 3rd party custom study. In which case, you need to ask the developers of that study as to why there would be an issue related to the package selection.

Hi Guys,
I wished to place my first live trade and are experiencing some difficultly trading the market. I'm fully connected to teton cme routing service with a valid activation to cbot for the indices that I wish to trade. I'm all set up and funded with my broker and sim mode is off. As a short term trader whose in and out of the market I went to click the buy sell buttons at the bottom of my trading window and received a message saying trade activity files query time current queries 1. And no trade was placed in the market. How do I set myself up to bypass this and trade the live market which I'm prohibited from doing?

The message you reference "trade activity files query time current queries 1" has nothing to do with having an issue placing a trade. There is some other item in the log that gives information on why you would have an issue placing a trade. Please post your "Trade Service Log" to this thread by following these instructions:

There is nothing in this log that shows an issue.

Please open your "Trade >> Trade Activity Log" and select the "Trade Activity" page, and make sure the log is set to display Order Fills for non-simulated trading for all symbols. Refer to the following for how to do this:

If you have any order fills showing, then save the log file and get it to us by following these instructions:

Hi John,
Just to explain it to you the Trade Account Monitor clearly shows my cash balance. However The trade Activity Log shows the Order status as unspecified and the account balance as 0.00.

The Trade Activity Log does not show an Account Balance anywhere. The Account Balance is only available on the "Trade Account Monitor". The Trade Activity Log will only show Profit/Loss for the given trades.

But the only information we are currently interested in are the fills for the live account on the "TradeActivity" tab of the Trade Activity Log.

From what you are stating, there should not be any fills on that tab. But if there are, then we need to see the information to understand what occurred. This is why we need you to save the log file as described above so we can see these fills.

If there are no fills for your live account, then let us know.

Hi John,
I'm based in the u.k I will have to get back to you tomorrow somethng went incredibly wrong with my sierra chart platform and it crashed I will need time to figure out how to attach file. On the trade activity tab it showed the two trades I executed and that was recorded however it didn't process.

Given that there are fills for your live account, then we would need to see ALL the information for the Trade Activity Log. Make sure the option for "DisplaySettings >> Trade Activity Type" is set to "All Activity" and then save the log using "File >> Save As". Then attach that text file to this thread per the instructions given above.

No, it will not make any difference in execution. The Trade Activity Log is just a log of the trades you have taken. We just need to see all the information when you save the log so we can understand what occurred.

Get us the saved log text file tomorrow and we will take a look.

What is the symbol for the chart where you tried to enter the trade? We need the exact symbol as it is entered in "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol".

Hi John,
I'm back with you for the next coming hours to try and sort it out. I am trading only the US30 and have a valid CBOT activation which is fine for that specific index. In chart settings symbol action is showing US30, Trade and current symbol action shows as blank, Trade only symbol is No.

US30 is a CFD product. This is not traded on the CME Group. This is why the order did not go through.

If you are wanting to trade the Dow Jones Index from the CME Group, then this is traded on the CBOT (so you have the correct exchange active) and the symbol is YM (for the e-Mini) and MYM (for the Micro). You will find the appropriate symbols on the "File >> Find Symbol" window under the "Futures - CBOT" section. You need to change the symbols for your charts to the appropriate symbol for that product.

Hi John,
Many thanks for your help and assistance I knew all along that there was something simple in my settings preventing me from trading but couldn't figure out what with all the many options and being brand new to the platform. I've changed the symbols for my charts to CBOT and are on a contract which expires in September. In quote board I'm set for auto symbol rollover so that should keep me on the most liquid contracts for the product I wish to trade. It's approaching 5pm where I'm based in the U.K so I have no trading opportunities this late for today so I can't try it out until tomorrow. I imagine the problem been sorted and hopefully you don't have to hear from me tomorrow.
