Hi team,
Moving forward I'm now wanting to use the denali feed provided by Sierra Chart. I am with CQG so I swapped to using service package 11 moving forward along with the Denali market data provided by Sierra Charts. So I disconnected my market data I was using with CQG but I still have them for clearing etc. (sorry I don't know the exact term). Upon trying to connect my sierra chart platform with the new Denali feed I followed what I thought was the correct instructions. I allowed support for sierra chart data feeds. My data/trade service settings was on CQG webAPI and tehn when I pressed okay abnd connect it was saying there's no connection. So I then changed my current selected service to 'SC Data - All services (data), and pressed okay. It seems to have now given me all the data and my charts are now showing. But my DOM doesn't seems to be working or active, ie I can't make a trade on the platform as I usually do. And if I go back to CQG webAPI service it then disconnects the data.

Simply, how can I now keep this Denali Sierra data I'm now using but use my CQG account for executing trades on the SC platform like before??

Sorry, I've tried reading what I can, I know you'd deal with connection troubleshooting a lot so I appreciate the SC teams help, you've always been great. Thanks again

From what you state, you should not be having any issue at all, as you have done all the correct things.

The issue is somewhere with the CQG connection not "connecting". We need to see your Message Log when this happens. Make sure your Current Selected Service is set to CQG WebAPI and then follow these instructions:

Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:
Message Log: Clearing the Message Log

Open a chart for the symbol you have an issue with. Tell us that symbol of the chart. Tell us about *one* symbol only.

Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect".

Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed".

After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:

We will then determine what the problem is.

From user:

So I found out my broker deactivated my account and that was causing issues with it all. I now have my account and present data working. But the issue I had before going to Denali remains, which is whenever I spend time away from my account/sierra charts. When I start up Sierra after for example a 6 month break, I will receive data and present data from the current action, but I when it loads the data from previous contracts, it leaves a all the data that occurred since I was away. So it last has data for example, 6 months ago but its missing all the data in between. And this is even after I set it to continuous futures contract, volume based back adjusted. I was told that CQG data couldn't go too far back and that's why I switched to Denali so I can have 12 months + data accessible on my charts. What would be the issue why chartbooks still don't give me all the data between my last login and my current login ie 6 months. Even if I set it to 360 days of chart data or load from x date to x date. It doesn't load all previous data/contracts. What would be this issue?

It sounds like you are not getting the data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed.

Please verify that the option for Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Allow Support For Sierra Chart Data Feeds is set to Yes. If it is not - change it to Yes and then select File >> Disconnect followed by File >> Connect to Data Feed.

The other thing to check is which symbols are not giving you the historical data. Keep in mind that you are only setup to get real-time data from us for the CME exchange (not the full CME Group). So if you are trying to get data for a product that is not traded on the CME, then you will be having this issue. Let us know one symbol for which you are having this issue.
