So, "ending support" for TransAct not only means that you can no longer help with any problems, but that you are also FORCING TA users to either use one of your connected brokers, or find another charting service?

Hi Marwhitt, Sorry to hear you are going through these issues with your Transact connectivity. You are not being forced to stop using TransAct (TA) as a connection. Sierra simply isn't supporting TA for software versions 2354 and higher. You can install previous Sierra Chart versions from your help menu and keep using version 2353 or lower. That should keep your TransAct connection working. I myself am an ex-Infinity Broker and certainly understand where you are coming from. Personally, I believe the best solution for you would be to switch to Sierra Teton Order Routing with Denali for real time and historical data. I believe this complete A-Z solution maintained by Sierra Chart. is a major benefit from multiple third party connections, like TransAct, that Sierra cannot control. On top of that, I feel it is the best overall quality and value for traders. Additionally, I believe traders should be able to save a lot of money from the reduced commissions as well! If you open an account at Stage 5 using Sierra Chart Teton Order Routing, you will receive $0.20 per side commissions on the micros and $0.45 commissions on non-micros plus exchange and regulatory fees. The problem with this though is that they (Transact users) were not able to connect to Transact this morning: You can install previous Sierra Chart versions from your help menu and keep using version 2353 or lower. That should keep your TransAct connection working We are not wanting to perpetuate the problem.

That is because you are using SC Data-All Services. I am stil on version 2348. I have changed the Data Service selection back to TransAct - still 10-minute delay. I deleted all data and redownloaded - still 10-minute delay. Thanks to SC Engineering explanation above, I will be transferring to a supported broker. It would be nice in the meantime if I could have my real-time data back. Suggestions? |
