I am still not able to connect to Rithmic even after replacing json file from Houston.

I am using two installations of Sierra - with AMP and Rithmic for trading, both with denali data. The one with AMP never had any issue. But not been able to connect to Rithmic for 2 days now.

Based everything we know, and the fact that Sierra Chart was also affected by this. It looks as though the ports are actively getting blocked by some ISPs. This is the relevant error:

And you are also getting blocked on port 443. What do you see when you go to this address:

It would be best to contact your ISP and give them this URL and tell them you cannot even access this. This makes the problem very easy for them to understand. This is accessible anywhere else in the world.

I am able to access the JSON file from post 82 without issue, however, rithmic still will not connect in SC.

I tried different servers in the server list, they all come back with the windows error code 10061.

We can implement a solution to this by putting this file on the Sierra Chart Web server and updating Sierra Chart to use that new file.

However, it would seem as though you would still have trouble connecting to the Rithmic servers.

Looks as though the problem is associated with Hurricane Electric.

Ok this is helpful to understand more clearly what is happening.

Since the final IP on the side of Rithmic is owned by hurricane electric, it is clear they are using hurricane electric. At least for some of their connectivity. So at this point it is up to Rithmic and/or hurricane electric to solve this issue.

And for Rithmic users unable to connect, in the meantime:

To access historical and streaming market data independent from your Trading service. Follow these instructions.


Set "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service" to "SC Data-All Services".

Press "OK"

And then translate the symbols in your Chartbooks and Sierra Chart using this "Edit' menu command:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service (Translate Symbols to Current Service)

You can then use the data provided by Sierra Chart independent of your trading service.

The issue has been fixed for me as of this morning (San Diego). Nothing I tried worked so I guess the ISP company fixed it on their own behind the scenes. Thank you SC support for going above and beyond on this issue that clearly wasn't your fault. I really appreciate all the help, quick responses, and effort. Thank you very much.

I am no longer getting the 10061 error however it is still not connecting.

After clearing log and trying to reconnect this is what my log shows.

I'm guessing it has to do with the line I bolded that has a blank server/port and remote address not set.
