There is a connectivity or routing issue being experienced by some Sierra Chart users, to two of our servers which are used to provide the following data: -Forex and CFD data -Historical data for Transact -Live/Real-time Trade Simulation (we will move this to another server if problem does not resolve within 30 minutes) -Crypto currency data -Live trading with FXCM This is only affecting some Internet users and not all. The Denali Exchange Data Feed is not affected by this issue. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. We are establishing another path of communication for: -Live Trade Simulation (we will move this to another server if problem does not resolve within 30 minutes)
We are going to get the remaining services set up, on an alternative server as quickly as possible. Also please understand that this is an Internet routing issue. It is not a problem with our own systems or ISPs to our servers. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. From our perspective, monitoring from the US Midwest, we are not observing this Internet Routing issue any longer. Where the issue was we do not know, but it was not with our servers, or immediate ISPs. And it only affected nonexchange data like crypto currency, Forex/CFD and market statistics data. Redundancy is very important for us, and we are setting up full redundancy for the services affected today. This was something that was in progress, but not fully yet implemented. We will be prioritizing this and having it done over the weekend. For our services in Frankfurt which include EUREX, we do have a redundant Internet connection that was installed, about two weeks ago. For the Denali Data Feed we do have redundancy with Internet, and we are installing a third Internet connection out of a different data center (in the CBOT building). So we have three data centers and three Internet connections. This redundancy also applies to our direct CME order routing. The ISPs are Verizon, Zayo and Cogent for the Denali Data Feed and direct order routing in Chicago. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Now that the issue appears to be cleared up, at least from our perspective, follow through the instructions here to download any missing historical data in your charts: Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Retrying the Download When There is Data in the Chart Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
