I am using V973 Currently flat and orders cancelled on Transact DOM Some orders still remain in the SC Chart Trade I have to send many times the command "refresh trade data from service" Only after 5/10 minutes the orders are cancelled in the Trade Chart It is clearly impossible to use the Chart Trade under this condition Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-05-13 15:10:31

Sierra Chart is only indicating the orders and the state of those orders as provided by the trading service. Please contact your broker about this. However, in 974, which we are releasing in the next few minutes, when you select Trade >> Refresh Trade Data from Service, if Sierra Chart does not receive an update for an order that is listed as Open, or with some other state which is considered "working", it will be immediately internally canceled. This is good news and hopes as well because I did suffer from same issue for long time through many versions of SC. I usually restarted the SC so it is faster than waiting. I also strongly believe that what happens sometimes is when you are in chart trading and in fast markets you enter and than cancel it never even arrives at trading service its definitely SC side only and after that it just hangs around here... Thanks |

For these kinds of issues, you need to contact your trading service/broker about these. Sierra Chart maintains as reliable as integration as possible with Trading services. The majority of issues that people encounter, are server side or connectivity related issues. Not within Sierra Chart itself. If you send an order, It is going to be sent to the trading service, and they should accept it or reject it, no matter what the state of the market is. If the state of the order did not go to Canceled, then there was no message sent back.

No. There is no reason with proper handling of an order from Sierra Chart all the way to the trading service backend and back again, should there be any trouble. This should work 100 percent perfectly all of the time. Unless there is some significant connectivity problem.

Since I have downloaded the New Version of SierraChart I am having a problem with cancelling orders. I place order with simple bracket (from trade Window, from DOM ...) and when I click "Cancel All", then it cancels ONLY the Parents orders!! In SIM it works well. Main order is displayed for about 3 minutes and then disappears (in SierraChart). I am not able to see it in IB (Interactive Br.) as well. For my big surprice, main order (which I thought had been cancelled) was after 1 hour filled ! In previous version of SierraChart, when I clicked "Cancel All" , all orders were really canceled (immediately)! Thank You for Your help |

We cannot duplicate this problem. When you pressed the Cancel All button, was the parent/main order already filled? If it was not, then the child orders would definitely be canceled without any problems. If the child orders were already sent to Interactive Brokers, then they will have been canceled, but perhaps there was a problem where Interactive Brokers did not actually cancel them. You need to look at the Trade >> Trade Activity Log to see what the problem was: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TradeActivityLog.php The only thing we can think of that might somehow be an issue is that the Trade Account for those orders was different than the selected account in the Trade window in Sierra Chart. Sierra Chart does have support for multiple accounts now. Use an Interactive Brokers demo/paper account to do some repeated tests and see if you can duplicate the issue.
