getting a bit lag (or at least i think) in SC data feed

HI, I am using SC and SC data feed for a while now. as far as i remember , the data is very fast. Issue 1# Recently, i renewed my scbscription after a break and since then in the chart header(data bar) , i am seeing DD values consistently as 00:00:11. i have seen it as high as 24 and lowest of 5. but as far as i remember from past it was always 0/1/2. 1) i checked update chart intervel and set it to 100 (now reverted back to 300) but it did not helped 2) i went through the following page but it did not helped : Prices / Data Falling Behind: 4.12 - Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feeds all i want to confirm for my peace of mind is to ensure if i am getting fast data. to me it loks like YES but confirmation will help. i checked heartbeat just now and delay is displayed as 0 but on all my charts i can see 10/11 delay. please see attached image. Issue # 2 load more data in chart. i subscribed to consolidated tape and set data limit to 20 days for 1hr chart but somehow i am only getting 2 days of data. i also tried the date range method but no results. but my futures cahrts are good and have no issues. I treied delete and download etc but no luck with that as well. i am wondering what i am doing wrong. i understand for first time ticker, i dont have data but shoudent it automatically download based on intraday chart data limit setting? i will create seperate thread if needed as i have not done my research but i am using fewer charts but my SC CPU usage is very high which was never the case in last 3 years or so. but i will research more before bugging you. |

We are not seeing the messages for downloading the data in the log you supplied. We do see the request for data to download, but it is only going back to March 29, 2025, for some reason. First, set the "Continuous Futures Contract" option to "None" for this chart. Equities do not have this concept, and although it should not matter, we have seen some circumstances where this can cause an issue. Then follow these instructions to download more data for the chart: Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Downloading/Viewing More Historical Intraday Data Let us know if you have any issues getting more data by following the above. -- With regards to the "Data Delay" this is nothing to be concerned about. There is an 11 second difference between your computer clock and the clock used the by exchange. It really does not have any impact to leave it as it is. If you want to have Sierra Chart set your clock using the Network Time Protocol, then follow the instructions at the following link: Network Time Protocol Client Note the last section on that page that gives information on how to run Sierra Chart to allow for the NTP service to adjust the clock. thanks for amazing and prompt support. and apologies, i have been on that page but in hurry skipped the word intraday from "historical intraday data" and skipped whole section over.. thats a mistake from my end. apologies for inconvenience. also, thanks for confirming chart delay issue as it give me peace of mind. |
