Hello Sierra Charts,

I was on version 2634. Did not know that I needed to upgrade to version 2652. I trade off the DOM on each chart I watch. This morning I experienced child orders that were not cancelled after the target or stop were hit. So I hit cancel a few times in a row. Then the whole connection into Sierra Charts with a Rithmic feed disconnected. When I tried to restart, the charts just say, "Downloading Continuous Contract Data" and they never load.
I came to the support board. I noticed that I needed to upgrade to Sierra Charts so I downloaded and installed the current version. I am on version 2652. However, the charts will still not load. I am a OneUpTrader.

Here is a screenshot of what I am seeing. https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1719848332269.png
Usually SC is rock solid. Please assist. I am dead in the water here!

Thanks!

You are not setup to get any real-time data from us, therefore you are getting your data from Rithmic. Rithmic has a lack of historical data, so using a "Continuous Futures Contract" can cause issues, as if the data is not there, then there will be problems downloading it from Rithmic.

We recommending setting the "Continuous Futures Contract" option to "None" in order to alleviate the immediate issue.

We also recommend using our Denali Exchange Data Feed instead of Rithmic in order to have access to historical data going back many years. Refer to the following:
Denali Exchange Data Feed

Just keep in mind that in order to get real-time data for the CME Group, you need to have a live, funded, futures trading account. Refer to the following:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

I am having a similar problem. I have been updated to the current version since yesterday, the problem did not start until 1100 EST. I have Denali Data, so I am not sure why I am having this problem. I also am using the Rythmic DTC data, but Denali was supposed to back it up. Here is the screen shot of my issue. Some Charts load, some do not, all are untradeable as candles are wrong during historical update.
My only change is the update of account and Denali service today, not sure if this is an issue.

Help.

Thank you in advance,

Dorothea.

The problem started just today. I have no clue how to fix it. Since I am a OneUp Trader, i have to use a Rithmic feed in Sierra Chart.

OpenShors has the same issue. Maybe Sierra Charts can fix this? It has started to stream now. However, I had to let Sierra Charts just sit there while I ran some errands, so it took about 1.5 hours. There has to be a better way! This needs someone to fix it. Something changed when I upgraded to verison 2652 in Sierra, I think. I don't know if it is Rithmic or Sierra. All I now is it is broke now and someone needs to fix it.

Also, I didn't have any issues with a Rithmic feed of historical data until today.

Thanks.

We simply can not say why you did not have issues until now. Refer to the following for our thoughts on Rithmic data:
Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Rithmic Market Data and Support Policy

There have been ongoing issues with Rithmic data for many years, so what you are seeing is not new to us. From our perspective, you got lucky that it worked well for you for so long.

Also, the interface that is used by Rithmic was created by Rithmic. There support people do not understand this, so they are no help in this matter. But the only people that can fix it is Rithmic.

You can use our Denali Exchange Data Feed for your data, but you need to have a separate live, funded, futures trading account in order to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees. If you do not have an account that qualifies, then we recommend the solution outlined at the following link:
Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:
