I have no idea how to utilize it or locate the functionality for it on Sierra Chart platform. Is it like a Level 2 setup but with more detail? Is it reflected in the Time & Sales window? Please help because as of right now, I can't tell how adding this datafeed has changed my setup. TIA |

The NASDAQ TotalView exchange is just an exchange. It has the data for U.S. Equities that are traded on the NASDAQ exchange. But it only has the price and volume data for the trades that are done on the NASDAQ exchange itself. This is in contrast to the U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape exchange that we also have, which has the consolidated price and volume data for all the U.S. exchanges on which an instrument trades. Refer to the following for more information on these two exchange options: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Nasdaq TotalView Data Feed Notes Denali Exchange Data Feed: US Equities Consolidated Tape Data Feed Notes We see that you have both the NASDAQ TotalView and U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape exchanges active, so we wonder if you are wanting to use these two in combination and get the price and volume data from the U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape along with the Market Depth data from the NASDAQ TotalView. In this case, you need to enter your symbols with the suffix of _MBO (such as IBM_MBO). The difference you will see is in the DOM with the Market Depth. If you use a standard symbol (such as IBM) you will only have the Best Bid/Ask information (1 level), but now you will see the multiple levels of Market Depth data for an instrument. If you are looking for something else, then we need more information on what you are wanting. I think I get it..I'll play around with entering my symbols with _MBO and see what I can make of it. Appreciate again your efforts on my behalf and that you actually explain things :-) Have a nice weekend.. Jonathan |

Hi John, is there a way to not use military time on your platform. I spend most of my day doing math and find it unnecessary to convert 16:30 to the time display I'm most comfortable with, that being 4:30pm. I did set the time zone to EST but I don't see a way to deselect Military Time. Thanks again, Jonathan |

Additionally, how do I change the default Alert tone as I'd like to use different Alert tones for different purposes. Presently it appears to be a default ping sound..one which I'm not too satisfied with. How do I provide alternative Alert tones into the system? thanks, Jonathan |

Sorry, there is not a way to change this. Sierra Chart is used worldwide and the U.S. is one of the few countries that uses a 12 hour time nomenclature. Additionally, how do I change the default Alert tone as I'd like to use different Alert tones for different purposes.
Each alert number can be configured with a specific alert sound. Refer to the following: General Settings Window: Configuring Alert Number Instructions You can add any sounds you like to our default list of sounds. The file just needs to be a .wav file (you will probably want to limit the length of the sounds to a second or two). You put the files in the folder named "AlertSounds" under your main Sierra Chart installation folder. Hi, so I won't be needing NASDAQ TotalView data going forward. Can you please remove it from my setup? Looking forward to your reply, Jonathan "The NASDAQ TotalView exchange is just an exchange. We can only cancel it from renewing May 1. We cannot do any refund or cancel it for April. It is active for April. We canceled NASDAQ TotalView so it does not renew in May. But it is active in April.

Can I just clarify, if I wanted to generate price/volume, DOM, TPO/mkt profile, liquidity heatmap etc charts for Nasdaq symbols, do I need to sub to both NASDAQ TotalView and US Equities Consolidated Tape exchanges? or will one or the other be sufficient? What about NYSE Arca? thanks |

Here are the things to keep in mind with regards to the two U.S. Equities options: - NASDAQ TotalView: Price and Volume data only from trades done on the NASDAQ exchange. Includes NASDAQ Market Depth information. - U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape: Price and Volume data from all U.S. exchanges where an instrument trades. Does not include Market Depth information. So if you need Market Depth information (heatmap), then you need to have the NASDAQ TotalView exchange. And if you need the data for the NYSE Arca, then you need the U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape. Another option is to use both. When you have both exchanges activated then you can open a symbol with an _MBO suffix, which will give you the Price and Volume data from the U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape with the Market Depth from the NASDAQ TotalView. Refer to the following for more information on these options: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Nasdaq TotalView Data Feed Notes Denali Exchange Data Feed: US Equities Consolidated Tape Data Feed Notes For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thanks for clarifying Lastly, when I scroll down on this link, it indicates the NASDAQ TotalView sub is $16 for non-pros Denali Exchange Data Feed: Pricing but when I tried to activate, the rate is $32. Can you pls reconfirm the rate? |

The cost is $16.00. But, you have the option for 2 systems set for the Denali Exchange Data Feed in general. Therefore, your cost is 2 x $16 = $32.00. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi John, I have found that the best way to get things accomplished with Support at your company is to message you directly like this. My apologies if that causes any issues. So, I rely on the Alert Manager window a lot as I'm constantly running Alert Scans. My issue is that when I want to access the chart for an alert that has appeared in the Manager, I double click on it and it takes me to the chart for that Alert. Problem is even though I have "Always on Top" set for the Alert Manager, after double clicking on an Alert, sometimes it closes the Alert Window and I find myself continually having to go to Window and then Alert Manager to get it back. This is an extra step that shouldn't be required as when it works properly, after taking me to the chart for that fired alert, the Manager minimizes to the exact spot that I had moved it to..usually in the top right of the window next to the minimize slash. It also seems to close it/not close it randomly. Please advise.. As always, thank you.. Jonathan |

The Alert Manager should not be closing after double-clicking on an alert to take you to a chart. Update to the latest release, if you are not already on it. Follow these instructions to update: Software Download: Fast Update If you have this happen again after updating, then post your Message Log to this thread for us to take a look and see if there is anything in particular showing in there. Hi John, is there a way for me to Trial the datafeed where I can get real time Indices like S&P 500 and FTSE? How do I add those in the most affordable way? I think I'm package 10 right now for $65/month all in(denali..etc) Thanks so much, Jonathan |

We do not have data for the actual S&P 500 Index or for the FTSE. Therefore, there is not way to trial this with us. And in general, the only exchange that offers a free 1 month trial is the CME Group. We do have the "CBOE Indices" exchange available, which has a S&P 500 Index (SPX) and several UK indices (UK 100, UK 250, and UK 350) among others. There is not a free trial for this, you would need to pay for the exchange. The list is at the following link: https://www.cboe.com/us/indices/indicesproducts/#cgi If you are wanting the "S&P 500 Index Futures", then that would be the CME exchange of the CME Group, so you could get this for up to 1 month for free. Refer to the following: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Real-Time Data Free Trial and Alternatives Another option if none of the above is exactly what you want is to use DTN IQFeed, as we support data from them. Refer to the following: DTN IQ Feed Data Service For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
