Hi John, Just to let you know that again on a Monday(never happens anytime else) when I log in on ALL SERVICE the charts are stuck on Friday and won't load the Sunday Globex data. I now know I have to hit translate to the current service and then it takes a good 25 min to load all my bulky 'continuous contact data'. The Teton feed never is an issue. I know what the fix is now each Monday when I log on, but it does seem kind of odd. Just thought I'd let you and the team know. Thank you, Karen |

I only have used the 'all service' for crypto perp. Do you think I should limit AS to just the btc charts and move all these other chartbooks into new instances on Teton as that never has an issue? Whatever you suggest I will try. thanks

I know weird eh? I have checked and all charts in all the chartbooks are set to load weekend data. I honestly don't know what is going but 1-the charts in all chartbooks on All Service do not update on a Monday morning from Friday close 2-if you call up a dom the data loads and is correct(I can see this as I have Teton up and working and can look at the two doms at the same time) 3-the issue is fixed, albeit after 30 mins of reloading data, by hitting edit>translate symbols... So I don't know what it is, but I do know the fix now each Monday. I will simply stop using All Service except for the BTC perp charts. Thank you for your reply, Karen |

oh and also this is a recent thing. All the chartbooks, all the settings etc have been in place for a year or two. this is the third Monday it has happened in recent month. Nothing changed in the chartbooks from say a month ago. So don't know. Karen |

Are you switching services? If so, then we recommend you install a second Sierra Chart in order to get the Crypto data in that other installation. You would keep that installation set to the "SC Data - All Services" service. Refer to the following: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart What exactly is happening with your settings? For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

John, You helped me set this up a few years ago. I have 2 separate SCs. One login is Teton, one login is AS. The only reason I needed AS if you might remember is I was doing loads of crypto charting in btc and eth. I simply added other chartbooks into the AS login as crypto began to take a back seat. Also as there is no trading on AS I used it a lot for sim etc. NO PROBLEMS for what 2-3 years...Until about 3 weeks ago when I logged on a Monday and all my AS charts were stuck on Friday. Teton is always perfect, NO issues. The AS was green at the top, I could open a trading dom and see live prices, but none of the charts would load. I did as you said when I reached out for help a few weeks ago and hit the edit>translate...this woke up the charts and they began to download the data. This has now happened every Monday morning for the past 3 weeks. I do not log out of SC until eod on Friday, I just put my computer to sleep, and reopen it each morning during the week. On Fridays, I log off, and power off. I hope I have explained it, and maybe it helps you understand. I will simply just move all the chartbooks to Teton this week, and that will remove the issue, but I just wanted you and SC to know what was happening. Thank you for your time, Karen |

If you are still wanting to view the Crypto data, then you should keep the separate installation with it connected to "SC Data - All Services". But we really need more information to be able to help with whatever is occurring. Selecting "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service" should not make any difference if you are not changing the "Current Selected Service". We do not know why this would "appear" to work either, just a coincidence is all we can think, but we understand why it does not feel that way. ok John will do! I will migrate my charts to Teton, and keep a few in AS along with the crypto so that if on Monday it happens I can give you all the info you need. thanks for your interest and help! Karen |
