Using the same data for charts as Rithmic R Trader yet the price data is completely off.

Trying to find out why.

Yellow line on left is current price in SC.

This is a very good example of a video which is not helpful to us due to the high degree of complexity of your chart.

You are in a better position to determine the problem than we are.

We do not know how that chart is configured.

Open a new chart with no studies on it at all. Do the comparison that way. Do you still notice a difference?

You're ignoring the actual issue. It's very clear in that video.

Simple chart of ES with volume profile and Current Price line.

What's on the chart is irrelevant.

In fact, if putting indicators on a chart in your program can cause a complete mismatch in pricing between the execution platform and the chart (which is using the same feed - supposedly), then SC has much, much bigger problems.

We are certain there is no problem here at all. If you are not going to help us, we cannot help you. We asked you to do a comparison without any studies on the chart.

That is not a simple chart. Do you realize how many settings are involved in that chart when you add the studies. Count how many studies you have on that chart and how many inputs each study has. We have no idea exactly what you are doing in regards to settings.

The last trade price box on the right side of the chart is directly driven by the data feed unless there was a study which is set to be displayed as the main price graph. In that case, it is that study setting the price . We suspect this is where the problem would be or a problem with the data feed.

Recently, someone pointed out a similar issue, it may have been you, and it had to do with the study configuration. It is hard for us to guess at what is going on and that is why we want you to start with a simple chart and see if the problem exists.

And then go ahead and gradually add to the configuration to see what is causing the problem so we can explain it. If there is something we can improve upon, we will do that.

There is some configuration issue or some problem with the external data feed.

Understood. But this is also part of the problem. You assume that everything is "user error". Same thing happened with the volume profile coloring issue that I just went through with you. Ultimately, it was a coding error.

I've been a full time trader for 5 years so I know what I'm looking at too. Trying very hard to make SC/Rithmic my main account/platform but keep running into weird things like this issue.

As a user, all I can do is rely on what you've implemented.

When I use a data service for my trading and that same data service is used in your software to drive the charts, I expect the prices to be identical. This turned out to be an issue with Rithmic.

However, as a user, I have no idea if this problem is with them or with SC.

Your immediate response that it's some indicator setting that's causing this makes zero sense. How can an indicator affect market prices?

At any rate, you can see the ES prices in both the DOM and the right scale area in that video. The Current Price line study is set to use the exact current price (yes, it was me who pointed out the bad default setting that SC uses but why would I keep using it?).

This is completely untrue. We do not assume everything is user error. And in the case of the Volume by Price issue you pointed out previously, you were using a Point and Figure chart which is a derivative chart off of the main price graph and we know that the mapping of the volume at price data is not always completely accurate in that configuration. Initially we believed that was the source of the problem. Not user error. So we never indicated that was a user error. The underlying problem was very complex.

And we did explain previously, why a study could give you a different result when it is being displayed as the main price graph. You do not understand our perspective. We do not know exactly what users are doing even if they tell us because their descriptions can be incomplete which they often are. You are showing part of the chart. This is not follow our policy. We are not going to be making guesses because usually we cannot trust what users tell us.
