Connection Problems

I've lately been having connection problems. It was working fine until late yesterday, but because the trading day was over I didn't worry about it. I assumed when I reconnected later (this morning) everything would be fine. But I'm having trouble connecting to the service. I get this error...


Windows error code 10060: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. | 2022-02-03 08:58:35.551 *

I've checked various other threads. I'm not using a firewall. I can't tell if I'm using the latest version because when I select Help >> Install Latest Version, I also get connection errors.

Other members of my trading group are using sierra chart and are using Denali too. They aren't having trouble.

Even when I try to connect to SC Data I get this error...

This is going to because by a firewall on your side. Refer to section 1.2 here:
Data/Trading Service Connection and Symbol Issues: 1.2. Network Communication or Server Problem

You say you are not using a firewall, but there is going to be one blocking the connections somewhere.

But it has been working fine till yesterday. I haven't changed anything on my computer.

I am on my computer right now in safe mode with networking. The website you linked to told me to connect in safe mode so firewall drivers would not run. So I am definitely not running a firewall now. I get the same error messages.

Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect".

Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed".

Select "Help >> Download Current Release".

We need to see your Message Log. You had stated that you were not even able to update to a current version, so that is what we wanted to see. Please provide your Message Log by copying and pasting the information from there into this thread.

You are definitely having connectivity problems. You have multiple of these lines in your log:
CQG WebSocket socket (2) | Connect event error. Windows error code 10060: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

And it is in both trying to connect to CQG and Sierra Chart. So there is something about your network that is giving you issues. As has been stated, most of the time this is a Firewall, but if not, then there is something. Refer to the information we have at the following link:
