Hi guys, I have this package attached to my Infinity account and they have directed me to seek support directly from Sierra. I have futures data on my charts and this works without fail. But the tick data disconnects and reconnects ALOT. I have sent through the Message log directly in the hope that this helps. Thanks, Elena |

There is a new connection that newer versions of Sierra Chart support to Transact which hopefully will help with the connection quality but ultimately we cannot control that. We want you to update to prerelease 1958. Here are the instructions: Software Download: Fast Update Be sure to use Help >> Download Prerelease. If you have a connection problem after updating, we will need to direct you to Transact support. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Hi guys, this is quite frustrating. The issue I was having was that the NYSE tick data was dropping connection every 3 minutes. My Futures data was streaming just fine. I was advised by Transact last Friday to update to the latest Version of SC on Sunday night and all would be good. I did this and today I have futures data that is way behind current market and NYSE TICK that is holding connection. Obviously I would like to have both Futures and NYSE tick data live, without delay and with a constant connection. I contacted Transact today and they tell me to seek support from SC PLEASE can someone help |

How much of a delay do you notice? The delay would have to be from the Transact server. Refer to: Prices / Data Falling Behind It does not make sense that updating would have changed anything in regards to this: NYSE tick data was dropping connection every 3 minutes.
When you say dropping, are you saying that the market statistics data feed stopped and then would resume?

It may not make sense, but this is what is occurring... I've got the separate Infinity DOM and it shows the futures data on the chart to be points difference. In fact what I notice on the version update is that the futures charting data does not seem continuous. The chart price will not move for several seconds and will then begin and pause... begin and pause.... And this is not during fast market conditions. With respect to the NYSE tick..... yes... mkt statistics data feed stops and then resumes. The crazy thing is that I only get ONE of these issues at a time depending on which version. |

Also I notice tht the Trade ACtivity Log is empty after start up.... on previous versions its gone through the process of checking with the server if there are any open positions.

Transact says they do not have any reports of issues with users receiving delayed data with their websocket feed. And you are also reporting an issue with the Sierra Chart market statistics data feed. So this is two different data feeds from wholly different systems. We recommend trying a different ISP and make sure you are not using any wireless connectivity. The connection needs to be hardwired. connection is hardwired so is the Trade Activity Log meant to be empty with the updated version? And I also no longer get a warning about connecting to a live data feed - is this also new? I a trying to identify potential sources of error. thanks |

Also I notice tht the Trade ACtivity Log is empty after start up.... on previous versions its gone through the process of checking with the server if there are any open positions. In regards to this, there still is a check for open orders. The settings at the top of the Trade Activity Log may not be set to show these messages. In the list of symbols make sure it is set to All Symbols (non-sim). And that a simulated trade account is not selected. Also make sure that Edit >>Blank Symbol and None Account in Current List is enabled on the Trade Activity Log window. And I also no longer get a warning about connecting to a live data feed - is this also new? Yes you will no longer see that.
