Hello Sierra,

I am currently testing your platform and am very impressed. However, I'm experiencing an error that freezes all charts from the 16th (being the last day to look at) till today.

I read through a lot of your support tips, checked and can asure the following:
•Symbol settings are updated
•I scrolled to the end of the chart
•"Disable Data File Updating" is disabled
•I made sure that no dates are excluded
•Historical Data Download is always successful
•The connection to the data feed is successfully established
•Although I had storage space issues, no "Windows Error Code 8" is listed in the Message Log
However, I noticed that the box in Chart Settings -> Main Settings -> "Date Range in File" -> "to" is filled with 16.05.2018 and can NOT be changed (see attached file).

How do I solve this issue?

PS: It is especially frustrating since my trial will expire on the 21st, which is why I wanted to ask if it was possible to extend my trial to the indicated 30 days (I read that this was possible)

Thanks in advance and have a great weekend

This issue is answered here:
Intraday Chart or Chart Bars Not Updating | Blank Intraday Chart | "Currently no data to display" message for Intraday Chart: 3.2 - Invalid Symbol or Invalid Data/Trading Service Selected

You are using the wrong symbol for the selected service.

We will extend your trial.

Thanks for the Extension, unfortunately it won't be of any use unless the charts work...

However, I'm not sure whether the issue you mentioned really is the cause of my problem. First of all, I don't get any error stating "invalid Symbol" or "Symbol unknown", secondly, I can see the current Price tag moving realtime on the right hand side (however no Chart available as it stopped moving on the 16th, and thirdly, the symbol was working perfectly fine prior to the 16th (I also checked whether the Symbol had a rollover, but that was not the case)

Last but not least, I followed the instructions of the help topic, but successfully found the symbol. So I assume it is indeed the correct symbol for the service.

But what am I supposed to do now?

It is not correct for the particular Service you have Sierra Chart set to.

. First of all, I don't get any error stating "invalid Symbol" or "Symbol unknown",
In your case you will not.

", secondly, I can see the current Price tag moving realtime on the right hand side (however no Chart available as it stopped moving on the 16th,
This does not make sense. How can the chart be updating in real time but yet stopping at the same time?

Anyway, the symbol you are using is a CQG symbol. So did you want to use the CQG trading platform service?

If you want to use CQG, here are the setup instructions:
CQG Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

Based upon what you are saying it sounds as though you are using the correct symbol but the Service is set incorrectly.

Hello Sierra, again thanks for your reply.

you stated:
"
[here you quoted me:]", secondly, I can see the current Price tag moving realtime on the right hand side (however no Chart available as it stopped moving on the 16th,"
This does not make sense. How can the chart be updating in real time but yet stopping at the same time?
"

Let me assure you, I am just as confused as you and provided proof in the form of two attached screenshots.

Secondly you are very right. I use the CQG Data service through AMP, who also gave me an introduction to how to set it up. However, it appears that I have set it up correctly, as all other symbols move realtime, as they are supposed to...?

If there is any info I can provide to solve the issue let me know, since other than the respective issue I am very pleased with the platform.

How should I proceed to tackle the issue?
Thanks in advance and regards.

Make sure Sierra Chart is set to use CQG as explained in the setup instructions here:

CQG Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

Confirm when that is done. Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service needs to be set one of the CQG services.

Yes, everything is set up correctly. I also double checked your instructional with the instructional Video I recieved from AMP and they are in accordance.

However, when I checked, I started playing with the "Intraday Data Storage Time Unit"-Setting and set it to "1Tick".
Subsequently I recieved an Error 112 in the Message Log (see attached file) which states in German that I lack free storage space. Could that be the root of the issue? (If so, is there a way to save the respective data on an external hard drive?)

Yet, something is still confusing to me: How come the F.US.EPM18 does not show price movement in candlestick devolopment (however does so in the price tag on the right of the Chart), while the F.US.DDM18 is moving perfectly fine, although being connected to the same Data Feed and using the same computer for storage?

Yes, error message 112 does mean "There is not enough space on the disk. ". That definitively is the problem.

Change the Data Files Folder to a different drive if you have another drive with available space:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/GeneralSettings.html#DataFilesFolder

How come the F.US.EPM18 does not show price movement in candlestick devolopment (however does so in the price tag on the right of the Chart), while the F.US.DDM18 is moving perfectly fine, although being connected to the same Data Feed and using the same computer for storage?
Not really sure, but it certainly is going to be related to the fact that there is not enough drive space. That is actually a very serious issue.

Once you get it resolved, re-download the data in the chart:

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol.
