Can you advise how I can transfer my saved chartbooks on Infinity demo platform to my standalone account. I could not find the saved chartbooks again by the time I logged in to my standalone account.

You just need to copy the files in the Data folder from the Sierra Chart copy used with Infinity/TransAct (C:\SierraChart\SierraChartTransActMA\Data) to the Data folder of your standard installation.

Refer to help topic 15:
Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation

You do not need to copy any other files. Just the files in the Data folder.

Tell us the exact folder path you copied the files from and the exact folder path you copied the files to.

Copy the files from:
C:\SierraChart\SierraChartTransActMA\Data

To:
C:\SierraChart\Data

You only need to copy the CHT files.

OK we understand the problem now.

The symbols are different between Transact/Infinity and the Sierra Chart Data services.

You need to update the symbols of the charts to match what you see in File >> Find Symbol. Refer to help topic 1.3 about this:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails1.php#h1.3

Okay and thanks. I am now able to retrieve the chart but the price has been static. Secondly, how do I update all the changes to the global settings to my tools and studies with what I have there before.?

Could you please let us know who your current futures broker is.

Secondly, how do I update all the changes to the global settings to my tools and studies with what I have there before.?
For us to answer this, it would be best that you let us know what particular problem you are having related to this.

The reason why we ask who your futures broker is because to receive the real-time CME data, it does make a difference as explained here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#UnderstandingAccessingDataFromCME

This is not a concern for the first month because there is no charge for the exchange fees for the first month. However, you cannot activate any of the lower-priced CME exchange fees. You need to activate the higher-priced ones.

However, if you are with Top Step Trader, then the real-time data will come through them. They work with the Rithmic trading platform service.

I also observed that the symbols in the Global settings is different from the symbols in the fund symbols menu. Can you synchronize?
Not sure what you mean, but there should not be any concern with this.

I did update the new levels in the global settings in the tools configuration before the change in the systems but did not save them though as various TC
OK so you want to have your Drawing tool configurations moved from one installation of Sierra Chart to the other?

To move the configuration you need to copy the Sierra3.CFG file from this folder:
C:\SierraChart\SierraChartTransActMA\Data

To:
C:\SierraChart\Data

Make sure neither instance of Sierra Chart is running when you do the copy.

Can we use Global futures as trading service to take care of the data feed and the CME fees?
Yes you can.

What is going to be the additional cost with the use of data feed of Top Step traders or Global futures account?
In both cases the cost of the data feed will be minimal. Probably just exchange fees.

Here are the instructions to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:

There are no exchanges activated.

Before proceeding, tell us what symbols you want real-time market data for. Let us tell you what exchanges you need.

You need to set Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service to SC Data-All Services.

And you need to tell us what symbols you want real-time data for. Please tell us this information. We cannot help you unless we get that information. Please do not activate any exchanges on your own.

I will be working with the following products
CLH17, Crude NGH17, Natural gas ES, ZS, ZB, 6B, 6C, 6E, 6A, 6J, NQ,.

I got s confirmation from Barchart yesterday. Is that the company to use for the data feed?

Yes Barchart is the vendor record. We have now activated the appropriate exchanges on your account.

You can open charts for the symbols through File >> Find Symbol. Here are the instructions:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/GettingStarted.php#OpenChart

We have activated the exchanges which do not require a trading account. There is no cost for these until the end of the month but effective next month the cost is nearly 300 USD/Month. So you need to be sure to have a trading account.

You can see the exchanges we activated here:

I struggle with what you have activated for me as I am a non-professional. Are you sure I have been placed in the right category? If yes, I will like to know what the cost of non-professional for CL, NG, ES, NQ and reference to where I can determine my overall exposure If I will like to trade other markets.

Secondly, ES is still not updating on real time basis?

Select File >>Find Symbol.

In the Selected Symbol box, enter the following symbol:
ESH17

Press the Open Intraday Chart button.

You should be receiving real-time data. Let us know if you are not receiving real-time data.

For an understanding of why you have to pay the higher exchange fees, refer to:

Also refer to this page:
Is Historical and Real-time Futures Data Included?

Okay and thanks. I will have an account with Global futures before the trial period expires. I will not like to renew the trial if the account formalities issue has not been resolved. I will have to wait until that is sorted out before reconnecting again.

ESH17 and NQH17 ARE STILL NOT SHOWING REAL TIME DATA. I DID DOWNLOAD DATA, REFRESH INTRADAY ETC.

Be sure to let us know as soon as you sent the Message Log. Otherwise, we do not know it was received.

We think we have identified the problem. We want you to perform a "Full Reset" of the Symbol Settings following these instructions:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/GlobalSymbolSettings.php#FullResetSymbolSettingsSteps

If you still have a problem, let us know and we will call and use remote assistance to resolve this. But this should be resolved by following the above instructions.

We want to let you know the particular issue you are experiencing is quite unusual and not common.
