Dear Sierra Chart board,

I am very dissapointed by your yesterday`s data.
I am sending you the attached files how it looked.

If this is your quality and it happens once more else I will go away from your service.

Send me information where was the problem but not in words like "We are clear, it is out of us", please.

We have little idea what you are trying to show in these chart images to us. They are also very complex and do not meet our requirements.

The proper method to provide us a chart image is explained here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#Image

And only provide one chart and no other chart. And explain what it is you are referring to. It does not help to post multiple charts. It only slows down the response and puts more burden on us.

Yesterday, 2015-09-01, there were real-time data delays due to network problem with the ISP for the data center. It is not expected to happen again. At the end of the day today, we are going to make sure that there is no missed data in the historical database relating to this incident.

If you are noticing missing data, refer to the instructions here to re-download the data:

Dears,

your data was defective and that is why the main problem is that it can cause big loose of money by your fault in real trading.
Your description of how to download right historical data or how to upload picure is irrelevant. In real time I have to manage make Printscreen at least.

So, I did not give from you:
1. Any solution from your side not to repeat this problemin the future.
2. How will you compensate my loose caused by future`s problem like this.

1. This was caused by a problem with an ISP used by the data center where the servers are hosted. In the years we have provided this data feed, there has never been an incident like this and we are told this is not expected to happen again.

Specifically this was from Barchart who hosts the data servers:

We had a traffic spike this AM and consequent problems with one of our ISP's causing delay and slow response for users connecting to servers in our datacenter. That was remedied about 1115 AM Central and we do not believe it should recur. Apologies for your users experiencing delay.

2. Under no circumstances, would we ever do anything like that. And it is very surprising such a question is even being asked. If this is your expectation, then please cancel the data feed which will be effective at the end of this month. We do not earn any money on this data feed.

If I cancel the data feed will you send me back rest of money from my account?

The data feed is not refundable. If canceled it will expire at the end of the month. We can refund the remaining Additional Services Balance.

In the event of a problem you can also switch to the Interactive Brokers data feed by disabling Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds.

One additional detail about using the Interactive Brokers data feed, when you disable Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds, you need to reconnect to the data feed for this to go into effect.

This is explained here:

Maybe you do not understand me.
If I leave SC datafeed I will leave SC as well.
Sorry, but trading with so data is a gambling.
Once more faulty data and I go away.

The problem that occurred on September 1 has never happen previously and is extremely unlikely to happen again.
