Some Sierra Chart accounts that had subscribed to this data feed in November, are no longer enabled for it because either you have disabled the automatic renewal or there was a not enough Additional Services Balance on your Sierra Chart account to cover the next months fees.

In this particular case, to use the data feed provided by your trading service, if Sierra Chart was running at the time that December 1 came, it is necessary to restart Sierra Chart to cause an update of some internal variables or disable Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds. Otherwise, you will not get data because you cannot connect to the Sierra Chart data server and there will not be a request to your trading service for market data.

If you want to reenable the Sierra Chart Real-time futures data feed, you can do so on this page:
https://www.sierrachart.com/usercp.php?page=Features

There is a link on that page to add more credit to your account to pay for the data feed.

Is there a place where the user can see the balance in the account so we can deposit $ so we do not get cought short and funds will always be there for next months Fee?

Maybe a line in the LOG telling us how many $ are available? and then we can do the math on what is needed ??

Am I correct in saying that the fee is collected on the first of the month for the following month?

If your balance is too low, you will receive a message in the System Notification Message window upon starting Sierra Chart.

You can also see the balance by going to Help >> Account Control Panel.

The charges are deducted at the beginning of the new month. It will be close to midnight GMT time on the first of the month.

You need to add credit to the Additional Services Balance . We do not normally shorten usage time in this particular case.

Everything continues to run well with the Sierra Chart real-time futures data feed. There is 0% packet loss. The servers are running very efficiently with extremely low CPU load.

We have learned of a small bug where if you edit the Global Symbol Settings for one of the symbols that uses this data feed, this will cause the mapping settings to be lost and you will not get the data feed from the Sierra Chart server. This is resolved in Sierra Chart 1058. To update select Help >> Download Current Version.

Do you have a close estimation of how the new CME/CBOT data fee structure will impact the SC Real-Time data feed users?

Thanks! I have read the above transaction summary. If I understand it at all (I very well could be wrong), the provided PDF is referring to transaction fees. I was more concerned with the data fees (fees based on access to CME/CBOT,Nymex, etc... exchange data) http://www.cmegroup.com/market-data/distributor/files/market-data-policy-changes-2014.pdf that are to be charged per exchange, per broker, per platform, per......... Again, I am confused and this may be nothing and was just looking for clarification. I will leave the matter. I appreciate your time and your support.

- Regarding LMAX, we provide a direct market data feed from LMAX for users who have a LMAX account and trade using a FIX connection. As far as we know, the minimum account opening for Sierra Chart users with them is 1000. Check with them on that.

- Matt654,

This is not the correct thread to post this question. Start a new thread here:

- In regards to the CME exchange fees, we know that if you subscribe to the Sierra Chart Real-time CME Futures data feed after March 1, 2014 there will be a 3 USD/Month exchange fee. And we can see there is an additional fee for market depth.

Follow the instructions here for tick by tick data configuration:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TickbyTickDataConfiguration.php

The data is not being stored tick by tick but in a larger timeframe.

What about the Market Data Non-display Policy? The same document establishes Category A, "Automated Trading systems (ATS) - systems that use CME Group information to trade via automated systems, either for purposes of routing orders to CME Group or to other exchanges." The fee is $670/month for just the CME, $2010/month for the CME, CBOT, and NYMEX. Does this fee apply to SC subscribers who do automated trading from an Advanced Custom Study?

Whether or not this fee applies lies in the interpretation of CME language in the lead paragraph: "...will apply to anyone accessing, processing or consuming CME Group market data for a purpose other than in support of its display or distribution." SC itself is certainly only accessing the data for the purpose of distribution. But SC subscribers seemingly would be accessing the data for "a purpose other than in support of display or distribution", even though they may also display the data.

If applicable, SC subscribers would not be able to receive the CME data from SC until they entered into an agreement directly with the CME, effective March 1, 2014. This would put a damper on automated trading for small accounts.

Please do not be concerned about this. There is no need to disclose whether you are doing automated trading or not. They are not going to know about what you are doing if it is on a very small scale. They must only have in mind HFT type operations.

What Sierra Chart users are doing in the area of automated trading should not even be meeting the classification of what they are referring to because it is on a small-scale and generally closely monitored and being controlled from a GUI.

They are not going to hit the little guy with this. We do not believe this applies to anything but larger HFT operations.

Will this mean we will pay the fee twice using the SC CME RtDf:

3$+15$ for the SC CME RtDF and 3$+15$ for a broker's datafeed?

If it is the case is it possible to avoid it just using "orders routing part" for a broker service? /like CQG FIX is planned to release/

Thank you.

The question is whether the CME is going to impose these exchange fees upon brokers or not. What we are seeing, is that exchanges do not enforce their exchange fee rules upon brokers and a lot of brokers choose not to comply and are able to get by.

Of course, you can not use the market data provided by the broker. You should be able to unsubscribe from that data. In the case of CQG FIX we will not use their market data.

On one of our servers, there was a problem with one of the NYMEX data feed channels. It was resolved earlier today.

If you see any issues, please let us know promptly. We were not receiving data on one of the channels that carries the CL data. We only had to reestablish the connection to it for the data to come in. We are implementing a solution to this to prevent it from happening again.

The result of this, is that if you were looking at a market like the CL, the chart may not have been updated in real-time. Another problem is that there may have been missing historical Intraday data in your chart. If you are missing historical Intraday data in a chart, then go to Edit >> Delete All Data and Download for that chart.

Yes, I can confirm this as I experienced the described problem Monday morning. I reloaded the charts several times but the price wouldn't move.

Then, I logged out SC and logged back in and it started working normally. Since then I had no problems.

Thank you for being watchful and fixing it.

The quick solution to this is to select File >> Disconnect and File >> Connect to Data Feed.

How's work on the data feed with CME for users without trading accounts.
This is currently being worked on. Should be ready before the end of the year.

Hi, I am currently trading through Mirus Futures (Zenfire/Ninjatrader) and use Sierrachart/Iqfeed for Charting only. My question is: Can I use the new Sierrachart real-time Futures data feed instead of Iqfeed for Charting and continue using Zenfire/Ninjatrader for order execution at the same time? Or would there be the problem of a double login? (the way I understand it, I need to login to my supported Trading service (Zenfire), in order to use the Sierra Futures data feed, which would probably mean I wouldn´t be able to connect to Zenfire/Ninjatrader for order execution at the same time, right??
