1. When I scroll to zoom out and after a few scrolls back to back, the chart just goes to far left and gets extremely zoomed out. Is there a way for that to not happen? Attaching a screenshot for reference.

2. Zooming on the price axis is also very sensitive. just a lil price axis manipulation makes the chart dance up and down. is there a way for it to be not as sensitive ? I can upload a video incase i didnt phrase it right.

Thank you

Refer to the following setting that should help you:
General Settings Window: Scroll Multiplier (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Scroll)

1. I have set the scroll multiplier to 0.15. Still not making any difference

2. What about this? What i mean by scrolling on the price axis is by tweaking the scale by mouse left click (not by scroll)

1. Another option is to use your left pointer and drag the time scale to adjust. Or, you can use the Control Bar keys or the Page Up/Page Down buttons.

2. There is no specific control for this, and we have never seen an issue with how this functions. Do you have your mouse settings such that small movements move the mouse far distances? This could be what is impacting the way this works on your system.

1. Mouse scroll is way convenient and fast to use. Any other option? Another thing i noticed is once it gets extremely zoomed out to the left, the chart locks to the left. when i try to drag it to the right it doesnt come. Can i atleast disable that ?

2. I just tried to lower my mouse DPI and that did make a difference but then my mouse would move so slow everywhere else :/ So annoying. I think mouse DPI shouldnt cause this because I am using two more charting software and i dont have any problems there.

1. This is not the case. We do not know why you would have this particular issue, but you definitely can increase the bar spacing again. Check to make sure you do not have the option for "Chart >> Lock Fill Space" enabled.

2. The only thing we can suggest is to setup your pointing device so that the scroll wheel will change the spacing in the price ladder. Refer to the following:
General Settings Window: Scroll Wheel Setting (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Scroll)

1. I was able to figure out why it was going to the left and getting locked. (I had very few days loaded on the chart). I fixed that. But the scroll zoom out is still quite fast to get extremely zoomed out. first couple scrolls seem to be fine then if i scroll again it gets zoomed out extremely. Idk if thats how it’s supposed to be. Scroll zooming in is working fine. No issues there

2. There is no option for scrolling to increase/decrease spacing (i.e :increase/decrease size of the bars) for price axis. The option available is for thr scroll to move the chart up/down.
It would be great if i could just hover my pointer to the price axis and use scroll to increase/decrease spacing

Is it also possible to Invert the price axis Spacing? Currently dragging the price axis up decreases spacing and dragging it down increases spacing. is it possible to make it the opposite ?

There is not a way to change the way the spacing adjustment direction works.

Maybe your issue is this:
If another window is activ and you go with your mouse to the chart which you want to scroll without making it active first(leftclick in that chart) then it scrolls like a rocket.

There is not a way to change the way the spacing adjustment direction works.

Did you guys just implement this in version 2591 ?

Add a new setting in Global Settings >> General Settings >> Chart named Interactive Scale Range Movement Adjust Direction. The choices are: Move down decreases range. Move up increases range | Move down increases range. Move up decreases range.

Does this setting do this :

We can not say for sure which release it was first in, but that is a new setting that allows you to control the direction you drag to expand/compress the price scale.

Just wanted to make sure if its what i was asking because i tried to use that setting and it didnt work for me. it did not change the direction when i changed the setting

My setting was selected at "moving down decreases range and moving up increases range" still moving down is increasing the range and moving up decreasing the range.

Make sure you are on the latest release. It is possible that the release you are on just has the setting and not the implementation. But we tried this on version 2597 to verify it was working before we last posted, and it was definitely working correctly (i.e. changing the setting changed the behavior).

The recording you gave us does not show you trying to change the scale range. You move the charts to the left, but you never change the scale. So we are not sure what you are expecting from this new setting. It allows you to change which way you can drag the price scale (in Interactive Mode: Range) so you can drag either up or down to expand the scale (and the opposite).

We do not know what the issue is in your case. We are not able to reproduce this.

We will have to get back to this later. This is a new feature and just rely on how it has always worked.

Okay. A couple things I tried:

1. Installed SC on a different computer and changing the setting changed the behaviour

2. Install another instance of SC on the same computer with the issue and changing the setting changed the behaviour

So it’s definitely something/some setting within SC which is causing the issue.
Can i maybe send youll the settings config or anything that youll can look to solve the issue?

Thanks

Please get us your "Sierra4.config" file. It is located in the main installation folder for your Sierra Chart (typically C:\SierraChart, but may be different).

We are not able to reproduce this with your configuration file, so it is not related to this.

Try starting a new chart in a new chartbook and let us know if that works for you.

I tried this and now its working. i.e changing the setting is changing the behavior.

But in the old chartbooks its still not working. What to do about it?

Try copying a chart where this is not working to the new chartbook that you started. See if it works in that case.

If it does, then copy all the chart from the old chartbook to the new one and move forward with the new chartbook.

If copying does not work, then if you want to have this feature working, you would have to create new charts in the new chartbook.

Tried to duplicate charts to new chartbook. Did not work.

Will need create new charts it seems.
