I have been using SierraChart for some years

At the beginning of summer, I connected to Rithmic Data Feed, since I use a funded company and their connection is through Rithmic.

Until last week or the week before, I had no problems to connect and trade, but since then, apparently the platform connects well, but the data is downloading VERY SLOWLY despite having the days to load in 5 days, and 5 minute chart, only with HLC bars and volume.

I have tried to make a new installation of SierraChart, configuring everything from scratch, to see if it was a failure in some configuration, but without result.

SierraChart is updated to the latest version 2540.

Is there any problem with Rithmic Data Feed?

I know that before it was necessary an extension to use Rithmic (placing the Rim folder inside the SC installation), but according to your current documentation it is not necessary, isn't it?

Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:
Message Log: Clearing the Message Log

Fully re-download the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >>Delete All Data and Download".

Or, in the case of a Continuous Futures Contract chart, follow these instructions:
Continuous Futures Contract Charts: Re-Downloading Continuous Futures Contract Data

After about a minute provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:
Support Board Posting Information: How to Post Your Message Log (Required In Some Cases)

We will then determine what the problem is.

Hi,
i've created a new clean install for SierraChart, set the connection and open clean 5 min chart (days to load 10) and NO Continuous contract, and default SC settings

First i've tried with NQU3.CME and wait 5-10 minutes

Second Log is trying open new chartbook, find symbol, ESU3.CME with 5 min HLC chart (days to load 10), tried to "Delete and Download Data" but fails (downloading historical data)
Log is about 5-10 minutes

See attached logs

I don't know if it matters much, but my connection is 300/300Mbps

There is something definitely wrong. There is a communication problem between your computer and the server. Try using port 80:
Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Using Port 80

We are not seeing this problem ourselves, using the same port number and server.

This is what we see:

HD Request # 2 | Receiving Intraday data for ESU3.CME starting at 2023-03-02 14:45:00.625000 | 2023-09-04 14:37:03.873
HD Request # 2 | Timestamp of first Intraday data file record written: 2023-03-02 14:45:00.625000. | 2023-09-04 14:37:40.306
We wonder if it is related to file compression. Maybe a local performance issue.

We want you to disable file compression:
Advanced Service Settings: Support Intraday and Market Depth Files Compression (Global Settings >> Advanced Service Settings >> Other) (set this to No)

Maybe then you should restart your computer after. Not sure that would be necessary though.

Do you mean "Support Intraday File Compression"?
Set it to "No" ?

Because link you send to me is about "Reconnect Delay in Milliseconds (Global Settings >> Advanced Service Settings >> Reconnect)"

Yes, that is what we are referring to. The browser must not have scrolled to the correct location but we did give you the correct link. We verified that.

Hi

Today I am also experiencing slow data loading with the Denalli connection (in Data/Trade Service Settings is connected to CQG Web APi).

See attached log.
(after try "Delete and Download data", chart lasts to load)

What exactly do you mean by "slow data loading"? Is this just when first connecting, or is it after the data is loaded the data is not updating in the chart as you expect? Or something else?

It's a chart load from scratch (HLC bars loads slow from 2023-08-06)

Days load 10 in 5 min chart

Now I've been formatting my laptop, to check a new install (Manjaro KDE)

I tried in an old laptop with W10, and SC loads well

If this is an issue specific to Linux, then we simply can not help with that.

One of the things that can help, since you seem to have the number of days to load limited, is to ensure that the option for "Continuous Futures Contract" is set to "None".

Is this occurring when using Linux? That would be the reason for this.

I've made a clean install of Manjaro and SierraChart, and it seems the same issue (with CQG connection).
I've check the settings and i couldn't see something wrong.
(The only that i've copied previous SCID files to try not lasts more time, but with no result, chart bars loads slowly)

Coult it be Wine issue?
I have
- wine-8.14
- winetricks 20220411
