SC 2111 will not open chartbooks

On opening SC 2111, it does not load the chartbooks as I have defined in General settings

There is definitely no problem with this functionality in that version. That has been verified. There are two options on the Login window which can disable automatically opening Chartbooks: General Settings Window: Temporarily Preventing Automatic Opening of Files on Startup Otherwise: Can you open the chartbooks through the process of File >> Open Chartbook? If that also fails, then we need to see your Message Log after you try to open one of the files. All the chartbooks that would normally open on loading of SC failed to do so. You had a newer version of Sierra Chart installed that supported compression of Chartbooks and then you went back to an earlier version that did not support the compression. So you just need to use the backup Chartbook files: Chartbooks (Workspaces): Accessing a Backup Chartbook File Or install the current version: Software Download: Fast Update I have had to rebuild each chartbook manually in order to begin trading again Please ask us first before doing this. There is no need for this because there are full backups available.

The problem first occurred on 2111, I moved to a newer version to try and cure the problem, that was no help and I reverted back to 2111

Well there definitely is no issue with the automatic opening of files on 2111 or any version. That is with certainty. Other than of failure to open a Chartbook due to a compatibility issue due to the version that it was saved in. Since we do not know the precise details of what you are doing and the state of the files, whether compressed or compressed, at each version, we cannot say exactly what happened.
