Dear SC: I have an Attached Order configured (saved config) for 10 targets: Targets 1, 2, 3, 4, 5: Qty 1 Target 6 : Qty 5 While in a trade, when I manually scale in/out by say, 1 or 2 the target quantities in the Window get messed up after the trade closes. Quantity for Targets 3, 4, 5 and 6 becomes 2, 2, 2, 2. The next trade executes along these lines. I have to manually reload the trade configuration to restore my preferred Trading Window settings. Could you please take a look at this issue, fix it? Thank you. |

This is going to happen if you are changing quantities. What you need to do is to change the setups you are using by using the Trade Configurations. This way the particular setup will be the way you set it up. Refer to the following: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Using and Changing Between Different Trade Window and Attached Orders Configurations For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

John: Thanks. I think you misunderstood my first post. This 10-target setup is indeed a saved Trade Configuration. While the trade is in play, if I choose to scale in/out by say, 1 or 2 contracts, the Target Quantities (under Targets tab) get messed up; the same thing happens even when I just select one of the 5 order quantity radio buttons in the Main tab and NOT execute a manual scale in/out. Once the trade is closed, in order to restore the Target Quantities I have to reload the Trade Configuration. Please try it out and see for yourself. Thanks again. We understood you properly. What is occurring is that you are selecting the initial trade configuration and everything is fine. Then you change the quantity and/or orders in order to scale in/out. When you change the quantity at this point, the attached orders are going to update to reflect this new quantity and everything is going to be different from the originally selected configuration. So it is correct that in order to get everything back to the way it was, you need to reload the configuration. What we also recommend, in this case, is using another configuration to select the 1 or 2 quantity you want with the attached orders set so you can scale in/out as you want. Another option would be to use 2 different charts, one with the original configuration and then another for scaling in/out, as the Trading Windows are completely independent between charts (unless you have specifically linked them).
