I have recently been having problems starting the platform. The setting is "Open Files on Startup". The chartbook opens, but no data is downloaded. Only after "Translate..." does the chartbook open and download. If the platform is open and then I open the chartbook, it opens without any problems. Many thanks Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-12-23 11:13:07

Is the Symbol of one of the charts that has a problem, correct when you open it?

Both Symbols are correct. I added "F.US.YMH25" to the chartbook, gave it a new name, changed it in "General Settings" and then closed the platform completely. Then restarted. Same story. ... after "Translate..." it fetched the data for both symbols. |

I have now made the following observation. From time to time I train some users "SC". I created a separate "SC" copy for each user. Each "SC" main folder has a specific name that does not occur twice. So I have distributed the copies to "C", "E" and "F". On "F" is also my "main platform" with the folder name "SierraChart". Now I downloaded a new copy from your homepage and installed it on "D". I forgot to change the name and during the installation the folder name "SierraChart" was assigned. Immediately after the installation the platform started with the identifier and the saved chartbook from my main platform on "F". When I noticed the error, I immediately closed the platform and changed the name to "Test". I took an existing chartbook, saved it in "General Settings" and restarted the platform. Same problem. Then I removed all studies... restarted... Same problem... On my PC I use the SC settings for "AMP" = F.US. ... and also the settings for "Denali". So far I had no problems. But since today extremely. |

I have now moved all copies to an external hard drive so that there is only one copy on the computer. Unfortunately, the problem remains... |

Please do the following (note that at no point in time do we want you to select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service": - Exit from Sierra Chart - Start Sierra Chart and let it open your chartbook(s) that open automatically. - Verify that you are not getting any data in your charts. - Select "Window >> Message Log" to open your Message Log - Select "Send for Analysis" at the top of the Message Log to send the log to us. - Post in this thread letting us know that you have sent us the log. Also, for one chart in which you are having a problem, select "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol" and tell us the entered symbol for that chart, exactly as it is showing in the settings. Message Log send... After a short while all charts started automaticly. First are "white" (blank) charts and nothing happens in the first time. Second time I started the platform... after two minutes it starts loading... |

Hi John, a quick update. Version 2726 and Denali seem to be restarting without any problems. But not with "Order Routing to AMP". It takes 1.5 minutes to start loading... |

1.5 minutes is not a very long time for the system to startup, especially if you have a lot of data you need to download and then load into the charts. It is really not possible for us to say what may be occurring in the comparison you are making. Keep in mind that each service connection uses different symbols, and therefore any missing data for that symbol needs to be downloaded, so if you were missing more data for the connection to AMP then you were with SC Data - All Services, then it will take longer to get that data. The only other thing you can do is review the information at the following link: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I am absolutely with you concerning loading time, John. But the behaviour changed after the start. I was always used to the charts opening immediately after the start and then the data loading started straight away. Just over a week ago, the behaviour changed. The charts were blank for up to 1.5 minutes (and much longer with trader friends) after the start and then the data started to load. Now it can be observed that the ‘original state’ has been restored. ‘Both’ datafeeds start again as usual. The only change... upgrade to 2727. Maybe it was a fundamental problem of the boys in Redmond. First of all thanks John and I wish the whole SC team a happy new year. |

There have been no changes related to this, in any particular version. Nothing has changed from the Sierra Chart side.
