TROUBLE WITH DOWNLOADING HISTORICAL DATA

Dear Team,

I have logged my apex account with Sierra Chart.
I am in trouble because the message downloading historical data is very long it last for more than 15 minutes and I think this is not normal.
Can you help me.
Please find here attached the link with printscreen.

You are getting your data from Rithmic, and they have a limited amount of historical data.

You should not use a Continuous Futures Contract with the Rithmic data, as any missing data from previous contracts will not be able to be downloaded. This is most likely the reason for what you are seeing.

Also, you may want to limit the number of days to load for your data. Typically Rithmic does not have more than 5 days of data. So if you are loading more days and you do not already have that data on your system, then this could also lead to the problem you are having.

Dear John,

1) In reference to your reply, how can I reduce the datas to 5 days as suggested by you.

2) In addition of the first point mentioned here above, "Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing" would be a solution to obtain more data days ?
If yes, how can I run this application on Sierra Chart.

1. Set the following setting to 5:
Chart Settings: Days to Load for Intraday Chart Data Type (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Load Data Limiting Method: Days to Load menu)

2. The Teton Order Routing Service is used only for live trading for the CME Group. Most Prop Firms (like APEX) use Rithmic for their order handling, and it is not possible for you to switch this - it is not a choice you get to make.

I have inserted 5 into the option "Days to load for Intraday Chart Data type + Apply all + Ok, is that correct ?

Despite this digit introduction, I still have the trouble on the main screen with the downloading historical data.

You are going to have historical data issues when using Rithmic data. There is no way to avoid this other than using the Denali Exchange Data Feed. Refer to:

Thank you for your answer. In reading your summary about Rithmic Market Data and Support Policy
I can see than Apex is definitely considered by your side as one of the worst provider for your platform.

Even I am going through the Denali, I have a lot of chances as datas are not well displayed.
It is my understanding correct ?

1. How can I activate the Denali ?
2. Would you kindly provide to me a list of prop firm which are accurate and which are going to work well with Sierra Chart ?
3. I am interested in LMI/Volfix, this platform it is suiting well with Sierra Chart ?

You are not using our Denali Exchange Data Feed. With our data feed, you have access to historical data going back to 2011 (depending on the instrument). There is no missing data.

1. Follow the instructions at the following link:

Keep in mind, you need to have a live, funded, futures trading account that you can connect your Sierra Chart Account to at least once a month for verification. Refer to the following:

2. We do not have a list like this. Apteros trading does use our Trade Evaluation environment for their tryouts. So you could check with them. But otherwise, most use Rithmic. Using our Denali Exchange Data Feed is a big first step.

Dear Team,

To be honest with you, the more I speak with the contact center the more I am confused.
All the explanations I received were too complicated. All of them include terms and technical systems than only a professional as you can fully understand all involvements they have.

I chose APEX because all my teachers in Geneva Trade Center school use Apex as well as propfirm so I suppose they know what they do.

Can you please confirm the following.

If I buy the denali exchange data feed for CME, I should have the depth of market and consequently the initial message error should disappear "waiting to download historical data". I just want you to kindly confirm with a simple YES or NO from your side.
