Submitted to Support Board hours ago w/o any input from staff.. [APM] stopped updating for 40 min today and [LUNR] is still not updating 2 hours later. I don't understand what's going on especially since I'm a paying customer. Please help.. J Two more of my Tickers stopped updating.. This is getting serious and there's no acknowledgement from Sierra about any datafeed outages. Why do most update but some don't? Please advise |

Hi John, hope all is well by you. So, my live data isn't working today as it's still showing yesterday. I'm not sure what to do to resolve. Please advise, Jonathan |

I've been in this business a long time and a large part of that was working for a data provider. I find it hard to fathom why maintenance would be done during market hours not to mention it coming as a complete surprise to you and your customers. No doubt I'm not the only one scratching their heads on this..not to mention trying to scramble to manage risk. I would like my issue and concern about this to be escalated to a manager/supervisor. I await your reply, Jonathan |

The top people in Sierra Chart are aware of this and have been conversing with our provider. We are just as shocked that the maintenance is completely shutting off access.

Good to hear from you John as no doubt it's prob not a fun day for the team. Although I know first hand, that anything is possible in the world of data-feeds, it's kind of a wake-up call for me to continue depending on Sierra the way I do as clearly someone dropped the ball at that higher level. Regardless of what I decide on, as always, I appreciate your involvement. Thanks again, Jonathan |

Hi John, I'd like to add Footprint Charts(aka Numbers Bars charts) to my arsenal and am trying to view the Example Numbers Bars Chart as provided in the link: NumbersBarsExampleChartbook.cht. When I click on that provided link, nothing happens as the example chartbook is not to be found in my Data storage area where my other Chartbooks for Volume at Bid/Offer are located. Please advise.. Thanks, Jonathan Example Numbers Bars Chart [Link] - [Top] To help get started with using Numbers Bars, Sierra Chart has created an example Chartbook that contains a chart with the Numbers Bars and Numbers Bars Calculated Values studies. This Chartbook can be used to help get started with the use of the Numbers Bars and to help understand how the various Inputs to the studies can be used to highlight different sets of values. To use this Chartbook, follow these instructions: Left-click on the following link to access the file: NumbersBarsExampleChartbook.cht. Your Operating System should prompt you for where you want to save the file. It needs to be saved to the Sierra Chart Data Files Folder. To determine the location of the Data Files Folder, select Global Settings >> General Settings. Look in the Data Files Folder box. This is where you need to save the Chartbook file from your web browser. Go to Sierra Chart and select File >> Open Chartbook. Select the NumbersBarsExampleChartbook.cht Chartbook and press the Open button. Select Chart >> Chart Settings and enter an appropriate symbol in the Symbol box, or select the Find button to open the Find Symbol window and select an appropriate symbol from that window. |

As the instructions state, when you download the Chartbook file, you need to save it to your "Data" folder under your main Sierra Chart installation folder. If you are not prompted for where to save it, then you most likely have it downloaded to your "Downloads" folder on your computer. You would need to check this, as it depends on your OS and browser setup. If this is the case, then you need to move the file from the "Downloads" folder to your "Data" folder. Just use the OS options for this. Once the file is in your "Data" folder, then you can open the chartbook in your Sierra Chart by selecting "File >> Open Chartbook". Find the file in the list, select it, and select open (or double click on it). Apart from the above, you are currently on the "Integrated Standard" package, which does not support the Numbers Bars study. So right now, if you do not change anything, even if you open the chartbook, you will not see the Numbers Bars study. You can one of two things to resolve this, depending on what works best for you: - Change your package to one of the "Integrated Advanced" packages that have support for the Numbers Bars study. To change your package follow these instructions: Sierra Chart Purchase and License Information: Changing Package - Use the "Evaluate Highest Available Service Package" option from the Main Control Panel for your account on our website. This give you 30 days as if your account is set to the "Integrated Advanced with MBO" package. You do need to have a paid package in order to take advantage of this evaluation - it is different from a free trial. There is a link on the Main Control Panel for your account on our website that states "Evaluate Highest Available Service Package". Select that link and then the "Evaluate" button on the following page to activate this option. You are only allowed to use this option once for your Sierra Chart account. Thanks John..not sure why I didn't think of that. So, I currently use 1 sec as intraday data storage unit and I read that for Numbers Bar charts setting it to 1 tick is recommended. Would that change the way I'm currently interacting with the Denali data feed for my present Vol at Bid/Offer or it best to use two separate instances of Sierra with one being set to 1 sec and the other 1 tick? Thanks, Jon |

Yes this makes sense: or it best to use two separate instances of Sierra with one being set to 1 sec and the other 1 tick?
