TELETRADER BAD TICKS

Hello support,

On Wednesday I subscribed to the TeleTrader feed because I want to look at UK FTSE100 stocks. However, I have experienced bad ticks pretty much everyday since on intraday and daily charts. For example today BHP Billiton (BLT.STK.LSE) is showing a high and low of 2118.67 and 1934.5 respectively. Bloomberg and my trading platform show that the high today was only 1973.5. These kind of false prints are occurring on a daily basis and make it impossible to get an accurate view of the market. Yesterday to cite another example TeleTrader showed a Rio Tinto (RIO.STK.LSE) low of 3365.5 in the intraday chart at 4pm London time which never occurred. This only showed up in intraday charts not daily. The actual low was 3412. These false spike occur all over and I've only been looking at a few stocks.

Can you please advise ASAP. Many thanks

Contact TeleTrader about this and see what they say.

If there is some change we need to make on our side to filter out these values, we need to know what that would be.

Hi Meritus,
thanks for the info. As also communicated directly we will look into that with priority. Bad ticks everyday are for sure not ok and our automatic checks should also avoid that. We are investigating the cause of that for LSE and keep you updated. We are aware that data quality is the key.

Hi Meritus,

Am thinking of trying the Teletrader feed again (tried it on delayed data for 3 days (moral: don't subscribe 3 days before the end of the month or you pay a month's fee for 3 days) when it first came out (but could never figure out how to access the dax market internals) and am wondering if your bad tick problem was ever resolved satisfactorily.

Hi,
let me give you a short update on this:
the mentioned bad ticks on LSE are OTC Trades that are sent from our source. The Problem is only affecting LSE and is identified. It will be solved with the next batch of our feed handler which will be live in approx. 2 weeks from now. This should finally solve that issue with LSE data.

@Spinoza
please note that for delayed data we provide free test accounts. real subscriptions and realtime data subscriptions are always for a full month, that is true but the order form should clearly state this and also give the option to start with the next full month. if you need annother FREE trial account please send an email to support@teletrader.com. The mentioned tick problem is not affecting Xetra.

We are at the moment not covering market internals, but we are in talks with sierra charts as they may be able to provide them

in case of any questions please feel free to contact support@teletrader.com
