Chart Calculator measures incorrectly when Tick Size is changed

Hello, When Tick Size under Chart Settings > Symbol is changed, the Chart Calculator tool returns incorrect values, i.e. it measures "compressed ticks" vs actual ticks. Suppose I opened an NQ chart, where the exchange-defined Tick Size is 0.25, then measured a difference between two prices using the Chart Calculator tool. Say the difference is 16 ticks. If I go and change Tick Size on the chart to 0.5, the same measurement will now show a difference of 8 ticks, which is obviously incorrect. The same issue applies to Currency Value, but not to Point Difference. See attached screenshots for details. |

This is not considered an error. You have change the Tick Size and the calculation is absolutely correct. There is no error here at all. I suppose this will come down to what is a tick to you. I see that to you a tick is what the Chart Settings says it is, not what the exchange does. I disagree. Compressing ticks on the chart is done purely to make thinner products readable. What you cannot dispute, however, is that "Currency Value" is simply wrong. This can be proven very quickly by executing a trade, measuring it from entry to exit, and comparing the Currency Value the tool shows to a statement from the broker. All that needs to be done is for this to be fixed is divide Tick Size from Chart Settings by the Exchange Tick Size to get a "Tick Compression Factor" and multiply Chart Calculator tool results by that factor. |

Any reason you can't use the volume at price multiplier instead? When you adjust the Tick Size you have to make a corresponding adjustment to the Currency Value Per Tick. There is still nothing wrong here. The documentation does explain this.
