Numbers Bar - wrong numbers..

I'm a long time user of SC and I'm really happy with it.
I have denali +Teton and apparently I didn't have any problem with them.

Lately unfortunately I've noticed on my Numbers Bar chart some important discrepances..
The Software works great it uses little cpu and Ram capacity, the footprint build fluidly, but the numbers it prints in realtime are very wrong...

I've noticed it comparing the Numbers Bar chart screenshot with other colleagues, completely different (with same Denaly and Teton)... then I gave it a check, if I delete and re-download the chart it compiles correctly with exact numbers, I tried it many times also with slow markets and always the same problem... in realtime it compiles with wrong numbers...

1) could be the internet connection... but it never disconnect, has a 25ms ping with 2ms Jitter, could be better I'm looking for something better but I suspect there is something more...
2)The number bar chart is setted with an Update Interval to 10ms
3)Intraday Data Storage Time Unit =1 tick

Is there any setting that I'm missing in order to to have better data synchronized with your server?

This does not make sense. There must be some explanation for what you see. Refer to:
Working With Charts: Resolving Differences of Chart Bars Between Charts

There cannot possibly be a problem with wrong data, and then you re-download historical data and then it becomes correct. This really is just an 100% impossibility. It is just simply not possible at all.

Unless there is some problem with the writing of data to the Intraday data file due to an out of storage space issue or out of memory issue. Perhaps there's a very rare case of that happening.

None of this has any relevancy at all:
1) could be the internet connection... but it never disconnect, has a 25ms ping with 2ms Jitter, could be better I'm looking for something better but I suspect there is something more...
2)The number bar chart is setted with an Update Interval to 10ms

For the moment the problem seem solved but I would like to understand the real reason of it this is what I did and some considerations:

1) I put the chartbook on the main instance on SC with no second instances

2) the only thing that I did was to clean a bit the Data folder, I completely deleted the market depht data that was pretty big.. also full of old data that I don't need at all, by the way on the main Hard Disk there was still a lot of free space..

2) I suspect that problem could be caused that I manually connected the second instance to the data folder of the main instance from Global Setting > Paths > C:\SierraChart\Data\ instead of leaving its Data folder (C:\SierraChart\SierraChartInstance_2\Data\ ) is it possible?

3) correct me if I'm wrong, if the internet connection have micro-disconnectons or micro slowdowns, that could make the charting less fluid or disconnect from datafeed but in the end the writing of the footprint should be correct, right?

Tks in advance

This absolutely is going to cause a definite and immediate problem:

Never never do this! This is why you had an issue!

That path must be set as it is specified by default. After changing it back to the default setting. You must now fully re-download the data in the charts both in the main instance and sub instance because it will all be incorrect:

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download" from the main Sierra Chart menu. You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart. This command is on the main Sierra Chart menu at the top. Only use it from that location.

ok I've done it and used the original path for the Data folder, the problem is solved.

The only thing is that on the second istance when I open the chartbook the charting of the current day starts exactely from the current time, it is not loading the data from midnight 00:00 to now.

I solved the issue just by going on Global Settings>Symbol Setting >Update from server
and then Edit>delete all data and download and it is ok..

It is not a big issue because on the second instance I use a short term chart so it takes very short time but I don't understand why it does so

tks

We are not going to know you sent the Message Log unless you tell us at that time.

In the sub instance we want you to follow the instructions here and disable use of custom Symbol Settings:
Global Symbol Settings: Disabling Custom Symbol Settings

In the sub instance:
Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:
Message Log: Clearing the Message Log

Fully re-download the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". Only use this command from the Edit menu at the top of the main window or chart.

Or, in the case of a Continuous Futures Contract chart, follow these instructions:
Continuous Futures Contract Charts: Re-Downloading Continuous Futures Contract Data

After about a minute provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:
Support Board Posting Information: How to Post Your Message Log (Required In Some Cases)

We will then determine what the problem is.

We do not see any problem from that log that you sent. So we would need to see the log at the time that you have the issue. And tell us the symbol.

We cannot tell what the issue is, because this log is not since Sierra Chart had connected to the data feed in the sub instance.

It looks like it was cleared and usually we want the log cleared to not have so much unnecessary data in there but in this case we cannot see everything.

What we want you to do, though is disable this option in the main instance:
Global Symbol Settings: Use These Symbol Settings in New Instances When Started (Global Settings >> Symbol Settings)

And restart the sub instance.
