Hello,
I use to be able to view my charts when opening the application without connecting to the services, this helped me back test over the weekend when I was on the go and not connected to wifi. I tried doing the same today (although account usage expired this time) my charts are stuck with the message "downloading continuous contract data"..... is it still possible to view existing chart data download from previous session without connecting?

Just a guess here, but maybe you need to pay to use the SCID files if your account is expired.

Even if you have an expired account, you can open and view the data that you have already existing. Make sure you are "Disconnected" from the data feed. Refer to the following:
Sierra Chart Purchase and License Information: Free Mode

This is all we can state. If you continue to have an issue, we can not help since you are no longer a paying customer.

Hey, I have the same issue.
Something has changed in one of the last versions and even when I've disconnected from the Data Service, it's still showing the message "downloading continuous contract data".
It's stuck in this message, without downloading anything according to the Message log.

This is strange.

When you have this happen, select "Edit >> Cancel All Downloads". This will stop any downloads that were in process when you disconnected from the data service.

"Cancel All Downloads" does not solve it.

I suppose you mean "Chart >> Reload and Recalculate".
Which I did but the message continue to show without change : "Downloading Continuous Contract Data"

We found one way to get the "Downloading Continuous Contract Data" message to stay on the screen, but after about 1 minute (maybe 2) the message automatically went away and the chart loaded with the data that was available.

If you wait a bit, does the message go away?

No, I left it for > 1 hour without any change.

I also connected/disconnected from the data service without any change.

I have created a custom study which automates my backtests through the use of sc.StartChartReplayNew(ReplayParameters) and appropriate replay parameters

n_ACSIL::s_ChartReplayParameters ReplayParameters;
ReplayParameters.ChartNumber = sc.ChartNumber;
ReplayParameters.ReplaySpeed = 200000;
ReplayParameters.StartDateTime = sc.BaseDateTimeIn[0];
ReplayParameters.SkipEmptyPeriods = 0;
ReplayParameters.ReplayMode = n_ACSIL::REPLAY_MODE_CALCULATE_AT_EVERY_TICK;
ReplayParameters.ClearExistingTradeSimulationDataForSymbolAndTradeAccount = 1;
ReplayParameters.ChartsToReplay = n_ACSIL::CHARTS_TO_REPLAY_ALL_CHARTS_IN_CHARTBOOK;
ReplayParameters.ProcessingStepInSeconds = 5;
sc.StartChartReplayNew(ReplayParameters);
Ofcourse I use the sc.IsChartDataLoadingCompleteForAllCharts() and sc.isReplayRunning() conditions before starting the next backtest.

The study is very simple.
In every backtest (replay) run it will only change the inputs of the study that is being backtested.

NQ 100 - CME
Data service : SC Data - ALL Services
For demonstration purposes I have limited the loaded time period to 10 days.

I have noticed that when the ProcessingStepInSeconds >= 5 there is no problem.
Every backtest(replay) runs after the other, and no message is showing between them. Actually each backtest starts imediatelly after the previous has ended.

If the ProcessingStepInSeconds == 1 then after the first backtest ends the message "Downloading Continuous Contract Data" appears.

If you need the full study code I can provide it. (~150 LOC)

It is definitely not related to this:
If the ProcessingStepInSeconds == 1 then

It simply could not be. We would not even look into that.

There is a lot of complexity in the implementation of Continuous Futures Contract charts and when a chart is reloaded, you could see this message:
"Downloading Continuous Contract Data"
But it should not last long.

@Sierra Charts, this is still an ongoing issue. I have the same problem on my laptop and desktop, all of the Futures charts are stuck on "Downloading Continuous Contract Data" despite trying the suggested fixes above.. the issue persists. Can you suggest anything else to troubleshoot or resolve the problem?

The account you have posted from is Expired. If this is the account you are using, then you are not able to download data due to the expired account.

If you are using a different Sierra Chart account, then you need to post to this Support Board with that other, active, account.

Account expired or not I should still be able to view historic data which had already been downloaded before the expiry date.

Something has changed in a recent version update, it use to work fine when not connected.

Hi John / Sierra Charts Support,
How can I switch from my AMP broker account with Sierra to an independent Sierra account?

I notice on the 'Denali Exchange Data Feed' service page I will be able to access the charting tools without the need for a 'live' brokerage account..... in the past when my AMP account has been deactivated I've not been able to view real time data despite having paid for Denali, I'm assuming its because I elected to be 'non-pro' at that time - do I need to set-up a separate account not associated with AMP or maybe change some settings/config. Could you please explain how this changeover could work for me?... (I want to use the Sierra tools and I'm happy to pay for them I just do not want to be tied to a broker anymore).

Do I elect to be 'Pro' and pay the higher cost Pro exchange fee then I get full access? **could you confirm if this is the only way?**
Also, what is meant by 'Netting' on the exchange fee list?
