Hello, I have been running Sierra Chartys for quite some time and my broker is GAIN Capital. Normally, I use the Gain Capital as my trade data and Denali as my data feed. I just updated to the latest version of Sierra charts, however, now my connection to GAIN Capital is lost and its not even in the drop down lost, and my data feed is generic and only displays a limited number of records. Please, I need to get this back in order ASAP. Thank You Allan

Gain Capital support has been discontinued for at least two or three years. We have not had anyone ask about this for a long time now. We cannot provide any further help with Gain Capital. We can help you with market data. We see that you have the CBOT exchange activated and you can receive real-time CBOT data now. ---- To access historical and streaming market data independent from your Trading service. Follow these instructions. Set "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service" to "SC Data-All Services". Press "OK" And then translate the symbols in your Chartbooks and Sierra Chart using this "Edit' menu command: Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service (Translate Symbols to Current Service) You can then use the data provided by Sierra Chart independent of your trading service. ---- For trading use the gain capital software. well, i have been running the older version ofsierra chart and it has been working great with gain capital as trade provider (i trade on sierra chart) and denalli as the data. even now after the update the trade window has my account number in it, but of course none of the balance data or anything works because its not connected. I want/need to continue using sierra chart and tading orders on the screen, but Gain Capital is my broker and i'm not changing that either. please offer a better solution.

found the problem. On the Gain Capital site, they offer the following in the Sierra Chart install configuration. GETTING STARTED Go to the Software Download page and follow the instructions to download Sierra Chart. NOTE: Version 2416 or earlier must be used. Newer versions do not support trading capabilities, due to a decision made by Sierra Chart. Sierra Change Log: 2417 Release Date: 2022-07-20 Removed support for the Gain Capital trading service. You can continue to use Gain Capital in older versions. If you have a newer version installed, go to Help > Install Previous Version Then, choose the option “Specific Version” and enter version number 2416. I was able to install the older version and everything is fine now. HOWEVER, I wish I know how to receive latest version and still use Gain Capital as the broker. Please help me understand that.

I am considering because Gain Capital (Cannon Trading) is level 5 and on your list. The major question is this.. 1. Can I still trade off of the Sierra Chart screens (trades on the charts)? 2. Will I still be able to see my Gain Capital trading account balance and trade history inside Sierra Chart trading tab?

I just dont see the part where it says you can trade off of the chart screen rather than using the web trading platform. Also it does not say where the account balances ect are being displayed. Please help.

Yes you can trade directly from the charts and just use the Web-based trading panel as back-up, when you are traveling. Correct Balances would always be available for display. Do you have an existing relationship with any of the Brokers or Clearing Firms that support Teton Order Routing, see #2 here: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing: Setup Instructions
