This is the first time I encounter this problem. I haven't changed any setting regarding charts or data.

Intraday charts keep updating properly.

Historical charts have stopped on 02-09-2024. This is the last day I can see on them, right now.
Unless I went crazy overnight, I remember seeing bars from 02-12 and 02-13 yesterday.
I can't see them anymore this morning.

This happens on all MBO symbols : SPYM_BO, QQQ_MBO, INTC_MBO, META_MBO, AMD_MBO, TSLA_MBO and so forth.
If I switch to the traditional symbols such as SPY, QQQ, INTC, etc... the problem doesn't exist.

Also, some symbols have stopped on 02-08. There's a discrepancy.

In chart settings, I have "days to load for historical chart data type" set to 4380.
The date range in file is from 1999-03-10. The data range in file (read only - greyed out) is 2024-02-09. Load data limit method is Use number of days to load.

In data/trade service settings, historical daily data download time is set to 06:45:00 New York Time.
Maximum historical days to download for daily data is 18250.

What should be done?

I forgot writing I also did the two things in your reply.

Symbol settings have just been updated again.
Data for all historical charts has just been downloaded again.

I tried downloading historical data for specific charts, after selecting each of them. Whether I chose downloading data "from last date in chart file" or with a "specific date", the problem persists.

It's as if these days didn't exist in the system.

When I go to Edit >> Edit data - Historical chart, I can scroll down to the bottom of the list and see the last day present there is 2024/02/09.
There is no 02/12, no 02/13, no 02/14.
The current daily bar for 02/14 on my historical daily charts is updating because markets are still open as I'm writing, but I suppose this daily bar will have disappeared by tomorrow morning like those from the past two days have.

I created a new chartbook. Here, I created a new historical chart. I recorded the next short clip so you can see.

Alright. I've just updated to 2601. After that, I updated symbol settings again and downloaded data for all historical charts like you told me, just to make sure.

Once the download of data for all historical charts ended, the days that were missing started showing again.

It's fixed. Thank you.

Do you know what caused the problem?

I have a fear it may reproduce itself someday, and I'd like to react as quickly as possible in that situation.

We now know why there is an issue. And we have put information about it here:
Notice: Historical Daily Data Changes

You will not have a further problem.

I needed to create individual symbol settings for stocks like IBM_MBO and ABNB_MBO.

In order to place orders on them, they need to be used in conjuction with their full IBKR format : ABNB-STK-SMART/NASDAQ-USD as "trade/quote symbol". Their primary exchange has to be specified, otherwise there'll be a confusion on IBKR's side.

Following IBKR's recent change to its symbols, I applied the same process to more symbols, in order to avoid any confusion from IBKR.

With these individual symbol settings, the "date range in file" stopped on 2024/03/20 for historical charts.

This means yesterday's bars aren't loaded (yesterday was 2024/03/21). Yesterday doesn't exist in the notepad from Edit >> Edit Data - Historical Chart. The last day to be mentionned in the notepad is 2024/03/20

Intraday charts do load the newer data properly. Only historical charts are affected.

Stocks for which I do not have a customized, unique, individual symbol setting load yesterday's historical daily bar correctly. These symbols use the general and unspecified ???_MBO settings.

"Download data for all historical charts" doesn't solve anything.
Neither does "Delete all data and download".

Going to the historical chart's settings, I can confirm the date range in file (read only) is 2024-03-20. My load data limiting method was already "use number of days to load". Switching to "use date range" obviously doesn't help.

The issue must come from Symbol settings. It's only been happening since I made this change to them. I have attached 2 screenshots that allow comparison between an individual custom symbol setting like ABNB_MBO and the default, unspecified ????_MBO. Both are nearly identical, so I don't understand where lies the precise issue.

Editing the second line, Historical Chart Symbol, from ???? to ABNB didn't help.

As you can see in the last screenshot, yesterday's bar is missing.

Thank you. I found the answer during the weekend:

If we create a custom symbol setting (thus we're not going through the general ????_MBO settings anymore for this one specific stock), we HAVE TO specify on line °2 ("Historical Chart Symbol") the EXPLICIT ticker.

This Historical Chart Symbol line can't be filled with the question mark patterns (????) that we have by default for every other symbol settings and that we take for granted.
Question mark patterns don't seem to be recognized here, in this very specific scenario.

In other words, if we create a custom symbol setting for IBM_MBO, we can't rely on giving Sierra Chart the default "???" as "Historical Chart Symbol". Sierra Chart has to be provided with the precise and explicit "IBM" here. Then it'll work.

If you already had a historical chart open for IBM_MBO before making this adjustment, you'll have to go to File >> Reconnect. Then select the historical chart and go to Edit >> Download Historical Daily Data >> Specific Date : Chose whatever today's date is. Then, one last thing: Edit >> Delete All Data and Download. Wait a few seconds. The historical chart will be updated. Instead of all that, you can simply close Sierra Chart and relaunch it. The historical chart will be updated as well.

This is true if the pattern matching option in the symbol settings is disabled.
