Thank you. I found the answer during the weekend: If we create a custom symbol setting (thus we're not going through the general ????_MBO settings anymore for this one specific stock), we HAVE TO specify on line °2 ("Historical Chart Symbol") the EXPLICIT ticker. This Historical Chart Symbol line can't be filled with the question mark patterns (????) that we have by default for every other symbol settings and that we take for granted. Question mark patterns don't seem to be recognized here, in this very specific scenario. In other words, if we create a custom symbol setting for IBM_MBO, we can't rely on giving Sierra Chart the default "???" as "Historical Chart Symbol". Sierra Chart has to be provided with the precise and explicit "IBM" here. Then it'll work. If you already had a historical chart open for IBM_MBO before making this adjustment, you'll have to go to File >> Reconnect. Then select the historical chart and go to Edit >> Download Historical Daily Data >> Specific Date : Chose whatever today's date is. Then, one last thing: Edit >> Delete All Data and Download. Wait a few seconds. The historical chart will be updated. Instead of all that, you can simply close Sierra Chart and relaunch it. The historical chart will be updated as well.
