Hello Support Team!

I have a chart with DOM Graph On Chart enabled. How can I replay the chart with accurate DOM On Chart data? I tried downloading the historic data from the Sierra Chart server. However, that chart still replays without DOM historical data. What am I doing wrong?

Regards!

Refer to the following:

I follow both of the instructions and I am still not getting the DOM ladder data in the DOM on Chart. I am sure I am doing something wrong. Any other recommendations?

Do you have Market Depth for the time period you are trying to replay? If you are not sure, add the Market Depth Historical Graph to a chart of the same symbol and it will show you where you do, and do not have, historical market depth data.

If you have the data, then it would have to be one of the items from the two links we gave above. The most common issue is not setting the "Number of Days to Load" for the Trading DOM, and after that it would be not having the correct columns.

Please ensure all of this is correct and let us know if you are still having an issue.

Hi John!

I have Market Depth as verified by the Denali Data Feed Exchanges page where I am subscribed to 'Full CME Group (CME, CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX) with Market Depth for non-professional Trading accounts.' I have double checked the days to load in the DOM and they match the chart. I only want the DOM on Chart visible not the actual DOM so I have minimized the DOM. I have followed the replay instructions and the ladder is still not visible. Any other recommendations?

Did you put the Market Depth Historical Graph on your chart so you can verify that you have the Market Depth data for the period you are interested in?

Keep in mind, that just having the data setup to get the Market Depth does not mean that you actually have it. There is a lot that goes into how/when the market depth data is stored, so you have to see what you have in order to ensure that you can get what you need.

Ok, can you send me a link to set up the market depth data and storage please? When I put the Market Depth Historical Graph it did not show anything. Sorry, I should have led with that given that was your first question.

Start by following the instructions at the following link to download Historical Market Depth Data:
Market Depth Historical Graph: Downloading Of Historical Market Depth Data

You will need to force the download of the missing data for your chart per Step #8 in those instructions.

Then make sure you edit the Symbol Settings for the symbols for which you want to continuously store the Market Depth data, to have the setting for "Record Market Depth Data" set to "Yes". Refer to the instructions for how to edit the Symbol Settings at the following link:
Global Symbol Settings: Instructions

I forgot to mention I am using a TPO chart.

It doesn't matter that it is a TPO chart. That only that does is make it so you can not see the Market Depth Historical Graph. Therefore, you would want to open another chart to view the data, if that is what you want. But you still need to go through the process we defined in Post #8 in order to get the Market Depth data that you want.

Ok, I went through all the steps. I can see the DOM on chart when the market is open. I will try replay later as the DOM on chart is still not showing historical market depth. Thanks for your help.
