Hello users, My recent chat on this thread (link below) is leading me to further confusion between hidden and ignore draw styles. Could someone please elaborate on a specific use case on when you would use Ignore draw style. Both ignore and hidden draw styles hides the study from drawing on the chart and both performs the underlying calculation so whats the difference and/or benefit of using one over the other? Up until now, I always thought ignore would not do the underlying calculation therefore simulating a completely disabled study causing no processing load on CPU/GPU. I could not find much documentation on ignore either. Market Replay > Clear Trade Data popup window > Cancel button - enhancement/bug fix |

Per the documentation, hidden participates in the automatic scale range calculation, whereas ignore does not. Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Draw Style Could someone please elaborate on a specific use case on when you would use Ignore draw style
Armed with the knowledge of the above, it should be clear why ignore would be the correct choice in any number of cases. If you want a specific demonstration: 1. Add color bar based on alert condition to your chart and define an alert condition 2. Set the chart and study to automatic scale range 3. Set sum of alerts to ignore rather than hidden Ignore is necessary when study output values vary (versus each other) by orders of magnitude. The relative volume study would be another perfect example. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-11-21 08:55:52

Thanks for the link. Makes a lot of sense now after reading the entire page. I generally skip reading whenever I come across "ASCIL" :-
