so whats the difference and/or benefit of using one over the other? Per the documentation, hidden participates in the automatic scale range calculation, whereas ignore does not. If you want a specific demonstration: 1. Add color bar based on alert condition to your chart and define an alert condition 2. Set the chart and study to automatic scale range 3. Set sum of alerts to ignore rather than hidden Ignore is necessary when study output values vary (versus each other) by orders of magnitude.
