I have just re-tested on my Windows 11 virtualizer, and with my two devices where we noticed the problem (the Logitech G502 mouse or with the Veikk A50 graphics tablet). Of course, the price does not freeze, it moves, but we feel that it is not super fluid with the Logitech G502, but frankly acceptable. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-01-07 00:04:48

Now that we understand what the issue is, we will have a solution to this in the next release. It should be out today. If the pointer is not detected to move the event is ignored. This is how it always has been but we detect this at the pixel level. But there may not be any movement if the Chart Values tool does not move to a new bar or it is not changing a price level according to the Tick Size. In the next release if there is no effective movement, most of the processing will not occur. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. We are still doing some work on this. And we have added this new section with more information: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.56 - Global Chart Values Tool / Global Cursor We should have a new release out today. Sorry for my absence, I just tested version 2586. Unfortunately I don't see any improvement regarding the price which is fixed depending on the type of mouse model used. Here is a short video that highlights the difference in behavior between the two mice (Logitech and Microsoft): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8qhE6R70FQ (Newly installed Sierrachart and chart without any study) In this video, we see that the Logitech mouse always consumes more CPU resources, whether during a simple movement of the cursor, or during an order movement. And the combination of moving order with the Logitech mouse seems to saturate the CPU sierra is running on (probably the main GUI thread). Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-01-14 02:11:00

What is the difference between these two mice? Does Logitech mouse send more data? As the Microsoft mouse is a wireless mouse, is the transmission less regular? I admit that this is the first time that I have seen such a difference in graphic behavior between two mouse. |

We apologize, we cannot provide any further help with this. We have done all the optimizations we can. And we also recognize, while there are little performance improvements here and there, they probably only amount to microseconds and are not noticeable. We have done all the optimizations we can. From our side this matter is now considered closed. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Thank you for trying. For my part, I tried to install Windows 11 natively, it was hell. Forced to go back to Windows 10 because too many problems and regression with Windows 11 for my other applications. Additionally, there were unfortunately no improvements with Sierra on Windows 11. |
