Hi, I had problems with sierra chart today. The chart froze on me while I was in trades 3 times today, I had to restart my computer twice. I lost all my trades, I do not understand. |

Please go to Global Settings >> Log and set the option for Save Message Log to File to Yes. Then the next time you have an issue then we would like you to get the saved Message Log and attach it to this thread. The Message Log will be in the Main Sierra Chart installation under the Logs folder. Look for the most recent file. Hi, Thanks for reaching out but sorry there's no Data Files Folder box in the General Settings on the menu in my sierra chart. |

Do not worry about that, as the file we need is not in the Data folder. After you have the issue of Sierra Chart locking up, and you have turned on the option to save the log to a file, then to to your main Sierra Chart installation folder (typically C:\SierraChart) and then go to the folder named "Logs". Attach the most recent file in that folder.

Sorry, we did not specify that we need that log that starts with "Message Log". You will not have any until you set the option to save the Message Log within the software as we specified in post #2. First, you need to go into the Sierra Chart software and select Global Settings >> General Settings. Then on that window select the tab for Log and in that section look for the entry for Save Message Log to File. Change that setting to Yes. Then continue to use the system normally, and if it locks up again, then post the most recent Message Log from that folder. after the incident I couldn't execute any trade, I will appreciate if you can just look in my sierra chart to see why. I lost all my trades today I feel really frustrated at this point.

Sorry, we did not understand that you are unable to trade at this time. What happens when you try to place a trade? After you try to place a trade, select "Trade >> Trade Service Log" and copy and paste the contents to this thread.
