When I select a certain day and time the chart never goes to this date nor the time specified. This das been happening for a while now but I just worked through it in the past. I have 200 days to load and selected 12-01-21 and 7:00am.As you can see it took me back to 11-8-21 at 13:20. Also, I decided to advance the chart a few days because I like to see more daily bars than it was showing and the charts really went wacky as you can see in my other file. I'm pretty sure the ES didn't drop 400ish points in one day. Thanks Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-05-21 02:28:45

I noticed you are loading June 2022 contract, I would load December 2021 contract which was way more actively traded, not sure if that is the cause of your issue. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-05-21 03:11:52

Thanks Tony but I have the Chartbook set for continuous contract and it automatically selects which contract to use.

With regards to the replay, there must be some reason it is selecting that date related to your charts. Please attach the chartbook to this thread for us to take a look. Refer to the following for how to attach a file: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile As to the data, the reason you are seeing the discrepancy in the price is because you are not using a back-adjusted continuous chart. So what are seeing is the actual prices for the individual contracts and where the price jump occurs is the transition from one contract to another. Refer to the following for more information, including information on back-adjusted continuous contract charts: Continuous Futures Contract Charts For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-05-23 14:10:59

Here is the chartbook you requested. Also, the chartbook is using Volume Based Rollover but not Back Adjusted. I have been doing replay for well over a year now and have never experienced this gap in price. But if you will notice the dates on that chart it goes from 11-08-2021 to 12-09-2021 to 03-10-2022, skipping all the dates in between. |

This is the answer to your question: But if you will notice the dates on that chart it goes from 11-08-2021 to 12-09-2021 to 03-10-2022, skipping all the dates in between
The reason the replay is going back to November 8, 2021 is because that is the first date that is available prior to the date that you entered. The real issue you are having is the missing data. We do not have an issue when we open the Chartbook, but the data is all local, so we would not expect to see the same issue. Select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download and when you get the window asking which contracts to redownload select Select All, and then OK to redownload all the data for all the contracts that make up the chart. Let us know if you do not get all the data in the chart after this.
