This has happened in the past and reoccuring again. I trade through IB but sometimes randomly flip through their data feed and the Denali exchange as it plots market depth more concisely. I'm not getting updated data or any sort or when I switch to IB right now. It loads the historical up to the point when I log in but thats it I'm using version 2355, it shows the green connected status on the top left, the API ports are matching and symbols are correct for IB when switchng service Any idea what it could be? I just sent the msg log under user "kienly" |

We see the following in your Message Log: SC Data - All Services | Logon error received from server: Connection limit exceeded. | MaxConnectionsDifferentDevices = 1, NumCurrentConnectionsDifferentDevices = 2
This means that you have Sierra Chart running on another computer somewhere and that other computer is connected to the Denali Data Feed, and you are only setup to receive the data to one system at a time. Therefore, the other computer has the connection and the computer from which your Message Log was sent can not get the data. You need to disconnect or exit from, the other Sierra Chart software that is running. Or, if you want to have the data to both systems at the same time then you would need to pay for a second exchange fee. Refer to the information here: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed on Two Computers Simultaneously For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

I believe Sierra allows up to 3 machines per sub so when you say my current setup only allows data one system at a time, is this the case even though one stream is through IB the other via denali? I use one machine at work and one at home. sometimes i leave them both on, which may trigger this occurance |

You are allowed up to 3 machines for the Sierra Chart software. But the data is different, as the exchanges only allow for one computer to connect to the data at a time, unless you have paid double the exchange fees in order to have 2 computers at the same time. Right now, you just have the one connection. But, if you are setup to get data from IB on one computer and data from the Denali Data Feed on the other computer, then that would be fine. But, according to the information in your Message Log, you have both computers trying to access the Denali data at the same time right now. Make sure the option for Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Allow Support For Sierra Chart Data Feeds is set to No on the system for which you want to just get the data from IB. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
