Hello, How do I change chart settings so that charts auto-scroll as new bars form? I.e. the newest bar is always visible in chart. Thank you! |

There is nothing special to do. This happens automatically. Just make sure that chart is already at the end. You can do that with Chart >>Go to End of Chart.

Is there a setting that keeps the chart at the end? I find it drifts to the left as I move around in the charts.

No, you just need to make sure the very last bar in the chart is displayed. In this case the chart automatically scrolls as new bars are added.

Other can fuzzy cognitive reasoning there is no way to see the chart has drifted, that the current bar is off screen. I would request that "lock fill space" be augmented to also "maintain fill space". Further, please add the option to have the charts time-out and return to show "fill space" after a scroll left or drag/move left. |

Actually, there is a way to know. There is an indicator in the bottom right of the screen that will be green or red (by default). When it is green it means that the last bar is displayed on the screen. Refer to the following information: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/WorkingWithCharts.html#LRChartSettingsIndicators I would request that "lock fill space" be augmented to also "maintain fill space".
We do not know what you mean by this. Further, please add the option to have the charts time-out and return to show "fill space" after a scroll left or drag/move left.
You can always force the chart to reset to show the last bar by selecting Chart >> Go to End of Chart, which is set to a keyboard shortcut of the End key, by default. I'll explain, below. You can always force the chart to reset to show the last bar by selecting Chart >> Go to End of Chart, which is set to a keyboard shortcut of the End key, by default. Thank you. Of all the suggestions you have made, they require a trader to "break focus" and either reconcentrate away from price and start clicking multiple times on my chart masthead. Then, somehow, regain refocus on the price action. This chart setting, maintaining the last bar on the right edge, should be automatic (with an option to disable) thereby keeping the right edge constantly visible. You already provide "lock fill space" so why not make it lock & maintain fill space? I understand people want to scroll left to look at structure but Sierra Chart can add an automatic time-out that returns to the hard right edge after a scroll left or drag/move left. Seriously, this should be the standard operating configuration of a chart. One should not have to question or force the chart to display the most relevant data; the most current bar on the chart should be the right most bar. |

I use the hand tool a lot to move my charts around and if inadvertently I move it 1 pixel to the right the last bar dissapears, this happens to me to often. I want the capability to see the last bar-allways. Lock last bar to turn on/off, is it that complicated? |

many times now i didn't realise i was away from the latest candle. I see the red/green indicator bottom left but I too would greatly value a Force to Refresh/Always show current price option please! :) Thank you in advance for your excellent software. |
