Actually, there is a way to know. There is an indicator in the bottom right of the screen that will be green or red (by default). When it is green it means that the last bar is displayed on the screen. We do not know what you mean by this. Further, please add the option to have the charts time-out and return to show "fill space" after a scroll left or drag/move left.
You can always force the chart to reset to show the last bar by selecting Chart >> Go to End of Chart, which is set to a keyboard shortcut of the End key, by default.
