v2342 , IB, Scale In and Scale Out enabled. This has happened a few times in live trading, scaling in to a position, orders appear to adjust correctly, but when stop is filled, a partial open position is left working unprotected, must then be manually closed. Need someone to look at attached NG trade log, occurs from 11:25-11:57am EST today/and fix problem urgently please. Willing to pay if needed. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-01-14 00:52:35

but when stop is filled, a partial open position is left working unprotected, must then be manually closed. Why is this? If the stop has a same quantity as the Position, then why is there a left over partial position? You should be able to determine this by asking Interactive Brokers or determine the problem yourselfStart with them first on this issue. And look, we cannot fix Interactive Brokers problems. This is why we created our own order routing services and now we have one based on 100% on our own technology and that is the Teton service. Move to the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing We really are not interested in looking at this issue, in relation to Interactive Brokers Even if we are paid for it. And that is our policy. So sorry we cannot help with this. And we will not if it involves Interactive Brokers. Do you realize how involved it is to go through these logs? This is a very long log. This is your own trading. You know what you did. You are better able to figure this out with the help of Interactive Brokers rather than us. We just have no interest in this at all. You can understand why we are answering this way. You are dumping this problem on us. You need to figure this out and if you choose to use Interactive Brokers, that is your problem. Not ours. And this is why we have gotten rid of everything and have our own full complete solution now for futures order routing. The Teton service does not use anyone else. It is our own. I appreciate all your services, I am a customer of your previous SC Order Routing also, and will use your new Teton service also. However it doesn't cover all the markets IB does, I need both to work. Overall with your Denali data IB has been a great solution for me and access in one combined account, with charting and execution from SC is unparalleled. I am using 2 separate identical stop orders for each scale in, we don't yet know for sure if this is an IB issue, it could be an SC Scale In issue when using multiple stops, or related to SC settings. If so, it's in everyone's best interests to find out for sure and resolve/prevent it, it could also affect Teton/all services. I cannot go to IB, because I trade from SC and the execution and log is all from SC. Let me know how I can help with an easier to read or shorter log form, ie only Positions, only Fills, etc. Thank you for your help. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-01-13 19:37:20

It is too complicated for us to analyze this through a trade activity log. If there is an issue with the quantity of the target or stop orders during scaling in and out, we need you to be able to consistently reproduce the problem in simulation mode and then we need the instructions to reproduce. We will then see if this is just normal based on circumstances, or implement a solution. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. I tried briefly and am not sure how to replicate in SIM. This already happened a few times in LIVE trading and we have the LIVE log here, over a short time period of 30 minutes, and only 2 trades to analyze on 1 instrument. There is a SELL 2, another SELL 2, a stop out on 2, and the second stop only bought back 1 instead of 2 (at 11:57:32:059660), leaving a partial position of 1 open without a stop. This is the problem order, I've identified it, need to find the cause. I broke it out in Fills, Orders, Positions separately if it helps analyze it. |

Can you please help resolve the behavior of the problem order I've identified in the timestamp above? Is it possible this problem is related to the problem with distributing the orders incorrectly shown here: Scale In Even Distribution Error |
