I have successfully configured a number of buttons in Customize Control Bar 1. Recently, attempting to add and configure another button, I was able to add a Custom Drawing Tool and then set its "Properties" without difficulty. I am also able to use the "Move Up" and "Move Down" buttons, and the "Add Separator" and "Add Blank" buttons. I can also "Remove" Control Bar commands. There are about 3 inches of blank space to the right of the last button on the Control Bar, suggesting I might be able to add at least another button in Control Bar 1. However, as I click on "Set Custom Tool" the entire SC program locks up. If I attempt to click on anything on the main screen I get an audible soft chime or "bling" sound - as if I need to first select something to proceed, but there are no options offered, and that was not the functionality I remembered during prior configurations. At that point, my only option is to close the program through Task Master. After restarting SC, I then selected an existing functioning button and clicked on the "Set Custom Tool" button and the program immediately locked up again. I've repeated this sequence a number of times. I recently changed some of the existing button tool configurations, under Global Settings>>Tool Config. That shouldn't disallow opening "Set Custom Tools" but..........? Any suggestions or thoughts? |

Usually when you have this specific issue, in particular the "ding" when you try to select something else, it implies that the window is opening for the input you are trying to do, but it is opening off the screen so you can not see it, or access it. To fix this, select Window >> Reset Windows. Then try again and see if you get the proper window showing up. For information on the Reset Windows command, refer to the following: Window, CB and CW Menus: Reset Windows (Window) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
