Hi Sierra, Using CME ES & NQ, with the Symbols default session times values, the session starts at 9:30 and the evening session starts at 16:15. I need to use 30mn timeframe for candles and TPO. When "use evening session" is not checked, everything is OK. But when "use evening session" is checked, EVEN WITH "new bar at session start" checked, there is no 9:30 bar. Instead, I have 9:15 and a 9:45 bars on the screen. In the documentation it is written : "If Session Times >> Use Evening Session is enabled, then Session Times >> Evening Start Time is the start time which is used for bar starting time alignment. However, when using the Evening Session and when Session Times >> New Bar at Session Start is enabled, then for the chart bars which are within the Session Times >> Start Time to Session Times >> End Time time range, those bars will have their starting time be aligned to the Session Times >> Start Time instead." Actually, you do have the behavior described above. It is stating that if you have the option "New Bar at Session Start" enabled then your bars will have the starting time defined by the particular session's start time (i.e. Day Session will start at the Day Session Start and the Evening Session will start at the Evening Session Start). In the end, what you are seeing is correct and normal given the Session Times you have established. In the end, if you want your evening sessions to be on even 30 minute marks, then you need to set your Evening Session Start Time to be an even 30 minute increment (16:00, 16:30, etc.). I don't understand your answer. My settings are the following : DAY SESSION start time = 9:30 end time = 16:14:59 EVENING SESSION start = 16:15 end = 9:29:59 Thus for the day session, with "new bar at session start" checked, the bars within 9:30-16h15 should be aligned with 9:30. But they are aligned with 9:15/9:45. Where am i wrong ? And in the end, how to get correct 30mn bars AND correct exchange session times ? How do SC users to manage this ? (i guess i'm not the only/first one to meet this question) |

Here is a chartbook with two charts inside : - a 30mn candlestick - a monthly TPO with current month expanded (letters/blocks in own columns checked) On both charts, the candles/bars of the day session are aligned to :15/:45 |

We found that the reason why you are not getting the new bar at the day session start is due to the setting for Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings >> Include Columns with No Data. If you disable that option, then the bar start times will be as we have described above. Truthfully, we do not know why that setting is causing this to occur. We will have to look into it, but it is not something we devote time to right now. Thanks, for the 30mn candlestick it's ok with the option unchecked. But for the TPO the option is not checked and there is still :14/:45 aligned bars. |

TPO charts are completely different than normal chart bars. The subperiods will always be aligned based upon the evening session start time if the evening session is used.
