Trading Keys are unreliable

I've assigned keyboard keys to different trading actions - move targets to current price, move stops and targets, buy/sell etc. However, when I am trading, pressing any of these keys sometimes works but often doesn't, especially on first press. Then I have to grab the mouse and close or move the orders manually which is a big delay when the market moves fast. Is there a way to make the keys more responsive within Sierra. Sometimes, even when I can see that the order is moved on the dom after I have pressed the key to move an order, it sometimes jumps back to its original position when I release the key. I've used other platforms in the past like TT which react instantly and relaiably and it would be great if Sierra inspired the same confidence when trading with the keyboard. |

The first thing you want to ensure is that the Sierra Chart window for which you want the change to apply, is the active window at the time of the key press. Also, for trading keyboard shortcuts there is the menu item for Trading Keyboard Shortcuts Enabled. Make sure this has the checkmark next to it. Also note that this is a "Per Chart" setting, so you need to ensure that it is enabled for all the charts for which you want to use the keyboard shortcuts. Refer to the information at the following link: Trade Menu: Trading Keyboard Shortcuts Enabled (Trade menu) In terms of an order switching back after you asked for a change, the implication is that the change was rejected by the exchange for some reason. You can view the information on what occurred in the Trade Service Log. Refer to the following: Trading Information Windows: Trade Service Log For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thanks for the reply. Everything was enabled and the shortcuts do work, they just don't work reliably and the key press just appears to be ignored, especially, but certainly not only, so when the order flow is fast. Looking at the trade service log, there are a lot of order modification errors due to different issues but I think one of the ones where it was not moving was at the same time as this, which occurred many times in rapid succession - probably as I repeatedly pressed the key.(in the end, the position closed by hitting its stop rather than having the target order close it for what I had hoped was a small profit. Order modification failed (InternalOrderID) | Price and quantity (4686.25, 1) for order modification are the same as existing order. | Move target orders to price. Internal Order ID: 17718. Maybe the order modification was pending to the new price and therefore that is the reason for the message when there was a modification again. There absolutely cannot be any problem with this functionality on the Sierra Chart. It is impossible. We do not know exactly what you are doing, and we do not see the Trade Activity Log so we cannot comment further. If there is any issue with the order handling on the server side, consider changing to the Teton order routing service for the best service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
