Data stopped downloading

I can no longer load any data, my charts are stuck on "downloading historical data. bars may not appear until done. i have tried deleting and downloading data as well as restarting sierra.

We see you are using Rithmic. There must be a delay with the Rithmic historical data. So the data is coming from Rithmic and not from Sierra Chart.

Hi, so unfortunatly it is not rithmic, it is sierra charts. my data works fine with them, and i actually have dom data perfectly, its just the charts that refuse to load.

I have tried everything on this link: Chart Stuck at "Downloading Continuous Contract Data"

but nothing will work.

Any advice?

Ditto for me last week.
If I load saved charts just hangs on download.
If I create a fresh chart the data will load fine.
Tried a soft rollback but no change.

I completely agree Rithmic sucks but I'm in a combine and have been reduced to using Ninja just to scalp some ticks. Really miss my TPO and other charts.

i tried to open a chart on a DIFFERENT SIERRA account. someone i know to see if something was wrong, and although the chart loads, i cannot get ANY realtime data. i posted the message log above. please let me know

Regarding post #3, if you are using Sierra Chart with Rithmic, in your case the issue is absolutely with Rithmic because you are not using the Denali Exchange Data Feed because you are not connecting to a live funded trading account.

You are paying a CME exchange fee but not getting the real-time data. Refer to:

The link you gave has no relevancy to your issue. Your issue is with Rithmic and CME market data policy. You can understand the madness we put up with here. All of this is just a huge a waste of everyone's time.

In the case of post #4, once again your issue is with Rithmic. You need to use the Denali Data Feed to solve this:

Rithmic should pay SC for all the trouble. Your thread count would be reduced greatly if they got it together.

You also need to activate the exchange as well, and not just Service Package 12. Otherwise, it does not make any difference. You can do this here:

One thing we also want to make clear even if we were to, like we have in the past, provided historical data when using real-time data from another source, we cannot provide the most recent 10 to 15 minutes of data. This still has to be downloaded from the source providing the real-time data.

If there is any problem with getting that recent historical data from the other source, like the data is missing or there are delays with downloading the recent data, then you still have these two potential problems which do occur.

We have never liked the idea of downloading historical data from two different sources, for a symbol. It was always the long-term intention to consolidate and to combine all historical data services into one which we have done.

The only complication of course is the exchange fee. No one wants to pay exchange fees twice. This can be avoided if you rely upon Sierra Chart for all of your charting and trading functionality. And this is why we do support, historical data from other sources but if it does not work well, then not much we can do about that if Sierra Chart historical data is not being used.
