http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1393372429436.png The above chart is missing data and I can't figure out how to get it. It jumps from 6-5-13 to 7-29-13. I've also attached a screenshot of the chart settings and data feed settings. I've deleted and downloaded new data several times all after regular trading hours. Why is the data missing and how do I get it? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-02-26 01:53:16

Really we do not have anything more to add other than what is documented in help topic 7 here: Http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails7.html That is the complete reference on the subject and if you still have difficulty contact IQ Feed because clearly the data is missing from the server. One thing we do notice though is you need to disable the Continuous Contract option in Chart >> Chart Settings for that symbol. It is not needed and should never be enabled for a continuous contract symbol. Should not be causing a problem but definitely do disable it. Well, http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails7.html doesn't help any. I've called and emailed DTN and the data is on their servers for download but Sierra Chart isn't displaying it. I've tried creating both a duplicate chart and a brand new chart and then "delete and download data" after market hours and both charts end up looking like the original. How do I get the missing data to display??? |

We download the data for that symbol using IQ Feed and we got all of the data. This part shows the area that you are missing: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1393465877106.png Go to the chart and select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download (Be sure to use this exact command). You really should get the data. There should not be a problem with this. Also, please be aware that Sierra Chart now offers its own data feed that you may be interested in. Refer to: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php Overall this is a more reliable service compared to IQ Feed since it is built specifically for Sierra Chart. You will also find that the speed at which historical data is provided is many times faster compared to IQ Feed. Let us know if you still see a problem.
