First, the reference above was for the statement "...I can't increase tick size inside the VbP study, it keeps resetting to 1 tick default." Second, what exactly is not working in the DOM. We need more information on what you are trying to do so we can better understand what is (or is not) occurring. This is all related DOM, sorry for confusion. If you add Volume by Price study to DOM chart and try to modify a tick size parameter it will reset back to default once you hit apply. Also if you set a different value in Volume at price multiplier in chart settings you'll get an empty bugged volume profile in DOM |

The first thing is that when you are using the Volume by Price on the Trading DOM, the Ticks per Volume Bar is set to a value of 1 and cannot be changed. Except by changing the Volume at Price Multiplier. When you change the Volume at Price Multiplier, the Ticks per Volume Bar is going to update to match that value. This is what is described in the last paragraphs of the section linked previously. Make sure you are changing the Volume at Price Multiplier for the Trading DOM itself, but going to Chart >> Chart Settings on the Trading DOM. We know this works as we just did it ourselves to make sure it was working before we posted previously. We do not know why you are seeing what you are. The following image shows what we see when we open your Chartbook and made some changes to the coloring to try and see if we could reproduce what you are seeing: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1605218405719.png Please turn on the "Display Volume in Bars" on one of the VbPs that has the Volume at Price Multiplier set to 10. Then take another screenshot and attach it to this thread. This will help us understand the bar positioning. attached are the screenshot requested and configuration of the right chart. The only difference between our screens is the resolution, not sure if that has any impact. Also this issue was always present for me and I already re-install SC many times. |

What is happening is that the bars are not being drawn across the entire range of the multiplier. As you can see, they are drawn at just one price level, but they should be wide and cover 10 price levels, as we showed in the image we attached. The only thing we can think of right now, is that this may be an OpenGL issue. Are you using OpenGL? If you are not sure, go to Global Settings >> Graphics Settings - Global >> Other and see if the option for Use OpenGL for Chart Graphics is enabled or not. If it is enabled, then disable it and restart Sierra Chart and let us know if that makes a difference in what you are seeing. That's what I was thinking also and already tried enabling/disabling OpenGL. It makes no difference it just flickering before disappearing.

Sorry for the delay, but we had another engineer take a look at this, and they suggested the following things to try: - Update to the current version - Uncheck the option in Global Settings >> Symbol Settings for Use Custom Symbol Settings Values. -And then reload the chart by going to the chart and selecting Chart >> Reload and Recalculate. Try these and let us know if you see anything different. So it works, however this configuration is limiting my ability to record market depth.

Reenable Global Settings >> Symbol Settings >> Use Custom Symbol Settings Values. and then reconnect to the data feed: File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers We do not think disabling that option is necessary. It should not make any difference and if it did it would be for unknown reasons. We just wanted to consider all possibilities because we do not know the cause of the issue. I didn't change any configurations for these symbols in Custom Symbol Settings Values but disabling this option works around VbP issue in DOM

Please open Windows Explorer and go to your main Sierra Chart installation directory (typically this is C:\SierraChart). Then go into the folder named "SymbolSettings". If there any files in there that start with the name 'CustomSymbolSettings', then please attach those to this thread. Otherwise, just let us know there there weren't any files with that name.
